Thread: The Devs seriously need to take a look at the armor piercing issue, it's quite ridiculous!
Last night, feeling almighty after mastering Creature Handler (to go with my Master Rifleman), I decided to wander around a bit. I just happen to come across and AT-ST, all by itself in a camp. I pulled out my Frenzied Graul and began attacking, thinking this shouldn't be "too much" of a problem.
Well I was wrong, dead wrong. Although on the combat channel it said I was hitting the AT-ST for 300-700 damage every second (almost) with NO specials (pre-nerf T21 Rifle, 165-444, 6.2 speed, AP3), it's HAM was barely moving! I got curious so I moused over it's HAM bars to check. Well, well, well. Although it said I was doing 300-700 damage, it's HAM was going down maybe by 200 every second. There's no way that's possible. My Frenzied does over 500 damage every two seconds (I'm assuming it's AP0), and I'm doing 300-700 with AP3, so what gives?
I think this is a fairly serious issue, as we don't stand a chance destroying enemies with AR3 if our AP3 weapons are not working.
At-st's have 100% stun resistance, and 70% all other resistances. That is on top of their ar3. So even if armor piercing does work (which is not the issue for debate) you still are only going to do 30% of your normal damage, assuming you arent' using a jawa ion rifle ![]()
By the way, whomever said that jawas were good on at-st's haven't /examined one lately ![]()

Damnit Mynroe, you're right, and I'm pissed I overlooked that. That's for clearing that up for me, I completely forgot to take that into account (and I usually do :smileywink
My Graul Mauler hit full grown today, my friend said cool you can fight ATSTs with it now.... LOL so I crunched the numbers for him.
330-340 damage to AR0
165-170 AR1
82-85 AR2
41-42 AR3 <--- ATST
12-12 70% kinetic resist <--Final number
There's no question why people scream so loudly for ATST nerfs.
