I use it all the time but the mobn will always see me anyway. I know if you miss twice they will find you, but I am not.

Do I have to have another abiulity active to use it? Like the Take cover skill or something? I can't figure it out

I found a agro critters with 10k HAM and light armor yesterday on endor. I decided that I would try conceal shot on it. So I pulled out my laser rifle and took cover and started firing conceal shots at it. Well I drained my mind bar all the way down with out it coming after me. So I stood up and peased it and ran, then sat down and waited for my mind to regen. Then I went back took cover again and killed it! I only made 4k XP off of it and it took almost 20 mins. But I have to say it was friggin awesome to be able to do that! Made me feel uber for just a brief second. But I have to say, that was the first time I had killed something with conceal shot. Every other time I tried it I ended up getting killed from missing.

I believe that being prone has alot to do with it. try it

Havingsoloed several of those those 80% all resists armor medium untrained wielders of the dark sideon dantooine or whatever they're called (can't remember the name of the toughest one before dark jedi, killed so many, but still waiting to see an untoucheddark jedi to solo).. I can tell you for sure that if you don't miss.. you don't get seen. Surprise shot is a different story, I definitely get seen with that even though some say it is supposed to have the same effect only be more damaging.. still unsure exactly what that is supposed to do, maybe you got them confused?

Oh.. and you don't have to be under cover for conceal shot... are you talking about the mob you're shooting aggroing you? or it's friends... mobs still BAF when you use conceal shot.

That's bizarre. I use concealshot all the time, against insta-death red-cons and I have to shoot like 20 times to kill it, and I never get aggro.

The mob should never see you until you miss one or two times. Used to be two times, but I missed ONCE and a Squill caught my scent... could have just been inside-64m detecting me and then aggro'ing though....

You sure you're using the ConcealShot button / command? Looks like a pistol on a solid-color background I believe... or /concealshot.... You don't have to take cover... I've fired ConcealShot while running (accidentally )

Lok, you have to be under cover to use this shot. That being said, it doesn't work. Everything but what you are shooting at instantly sees you and if it is a BAF mob they will all attack you. So if you want to use it you must get them to spread out...way out!

Also, don't worry about it too much, SOE will nerf it so it is even worse soon.
