Is there an area attack for rifleman?

for mobs, not pvp thx



its always the same forums trolls who post to bully and manipulate forum opinion. I will rightfully disregard the last comment. Just because you post over and over doesnt mean you are the voice of the community. Nice try /hug /kiss

But there are AOEs available from Carbineer and Pistoleer which can be used with rifles

Get yourself Pistoleer xxx4 is my advice, stopping shot is a god send in PvP and usefull in high end PvE. Add to that you get Fan Shot! An area! Its not the best area.. only a cone, but with a good group its highly effective once u funnel enemies into it

You sound like cone is a bad thing as opposed to a true area attack. Who can lay down fire across a larger area and hit more targets, a Rifleman with a 30-45 degree cone @ 65m or a Pikeman with a 360 area @ 20m?


Here's a hint... at 65m, the legs of a 30 dregee triangle are 33m apart. At 80m, they're over 40m apart. You hit everything in that area.

So esentially if we do the math using a 45 degree cone at 65 meters we will get 1658.3125 meters squared (formula is (1/8)*(pi * r^2) where R=65 meters and Pi is 3.14. The 1/8th is thrown in there because the cone is 1/8th of a circle.

The 360 degree or full circle at 20 Meters radius should affect 1256 meters squared (Pi * R^2) the full area of the circle.

So you essentially hit an additional 402.3125 meters squared when using a rifle cone AOE.
