Hi,

Sorry to ask this as I normally like to work things out for myself but I've read over all the threads and asked my weapon smith but I still can't really understand what slice to go for. I've only a week ago come back from a very long absence and the game has changed alot.

My new rifle is

Attack Speed 2.6

Damage 482 - 1149

Accuracy Bonus - 17

Wound chance 14.95%

Base Dps 313.74

SAC 82

Modified speed 1.6

Modiefied Dps 510.87

(and I have 10 more ranged speed to come in the last box of my nearly finished MBH/MR template)

Could anyone please help with with what slice is best to go for and maybe even what pup would be most usefull.

Is 12% speed the best bet for the best dps ? does Critical strike chance work? is it a chance for double damage or less then that? 4% damage would cap my weapon wouldnt it with a bit lost?

It seems that I'd get a 7.2% dps increase from a 4% damage and 4% speed slice compared to 12% with a pure speed one but is the extra damage multiplied by my specials and thus more usefull? does the speed reduce my special cool down? will I be able to take full advantage of the extra shots with the sac at 82 with some action regen food? or will I need a SAC pup too?

Well your damage is capped so thats one slash, now you got a choice do ya want speed or a 10% more chance to do like .5 extra damage. I would go for speed since crit is not really worth it i feel unless ya a BH. And the DPS stat is inacurate and thus useless don't fall for it

My damage isn't quite capped, 2% wouldn't cap it but 4% would. I'd get 3.2% bonus from a 4% damage slice I belive.

I am a BH so would you think that makes crit better and why?

But yes I'm tempted with speed but this rifle was all my money so want to make sure I make the best and most educated choice and being recently back I'm not really confident enough to decide totallyfor myself.

at that point it won't be worth it, as for crit one of our specals depends on a crit shot or its just as bad in terms of damage as headshot, this adition will cause crit to occur more often and it will happen about 1-10 times more often for normal specals, but speed is prablly the best choice. I would make out seed customization and put it all into crit if ya that close to capping.
