I spent the last 2 days to grind out the last 600k xp for Master Rifleman. I wanted to offer my advice to people new to rifleman or are grinding up it now.

Start off by getting conceal shot. It's wonderful. Sure it hits a random HAM pool, but it's powerful and very likely nothing will notice you. After that, go up the sniping tree. Headshot 3 is your new best friend! i found it most useful against creatures with less than 7k mind. After sniping, grind up concealment so you get better with the /cover command. It increases your ranged defense and make stuff less likely to notice you. Finish up by doing counter-sniping. By the time you are ready for Counter-sniping 4, Rifle Abilities 4 will be right with it.
