Thread: After the Fallout
As a Master Smuggler and Master Rifleman..... I'm afraid I have to agree with Barb. Smuggler isa nice profession to make some money at.. you won't getrich rich, but you can get "comfortable". The combat skills with smuggler? Well i AM master rifleman!
Feign death is kinda neat... WHEN IT WORKS! Sometimes it takes a few seconds to kick in. I have died at least twice in those "few seconds".
Smugglers used to have great pistol combos: KD and delay, but Mr. Nerf came a'knocking and that ain't true any more.
We do NOT smuggle. We all had high hopes for the upcoming revamp, but let me tell ya... it isnt a revamp. A few more bells and whistles. Smugglers quitting the game over this.
Nicest Perk? Slicing the mission terminal on Dantooine Mining Outpost and getting 40Kmissions (have to be in group).

recently i took another ride on the hologrinding train and found i liked TKM quite a bit. if the fallout from the combat revamp nerfs rifles to uselessness i know what profession i will take up. the only thing that stops me from doing TKM is the fact that the current version of TK is totally useless for fighting anything stronger than a rancor.
I'm kind of curious why you say this? I was also TKM for awhile and I'd have to disagree with you, unless you are referring to a rare mob that has 100% kinetic resists? In which case, you could say that Riflemen face the same problem vs. certain strong mobs.
As TKM I could pound most things, in fact, I don't really remember something I couldn't pound, except for something huge like an elder or possibly a krayt (I've never tried a Krayt since they've been buffed).
So all in all, I would say that TKM are better than rifleman at fighting stronger mobs, mostly because you can tank them while you fight, unless you are using conceal shot.
