Hi all, I'm new to rifleman and was wondering what the best way to level is. Not the "go to dant. and get in a solo group" thing but rather which boxes in what order. Currently I am 0003 with master marksman. Ijust got through Novice tonight and had a bunch of combat xp stored up already.
Also, now that I qualify for the T21 what are the standard stats on this wepon. I know it's going to vary server to server but if you could put me in the ballpark I would appreciate it. At my speed level (+65) should I be looking for speed or damaged sliced guns? Since mainly I do pve do I need to go get a Jawa or DX6b (not sure if that's right but you know which one I mean).
Anyways, thanks for the help. I'm actually looking forward to the grind. I've been a Master Carbineer for a long time and while I love it the change of pace and having to develop a new play style is refreshing. Kinda like cheating on your girlfriend. It's not that you don't love her but hey, variety is the spice of life.

Off to a good startGet these things first- Sniping IV and Counter-Sniping III. Concealment I is also good. You'll need Sniping to actually hit stuff and Flushingshot 2 (from CS III) is excellent for levelling.

I think 380-ish max damage is pretty standard now for T-21s. I'd recommend speed slice before Master, but definately nothing other than a damage slice after Master. Use some speed power-ups with mind cost reduction as well while levelling. Min/Max damage power-ups when Master. Jawas are a must for PvP and can come in handy for PvE as well, but I think you'll need a DXR-6b more often than a Jawa in PvE.

Good move on getting the speed so far. It helps a lot. I'd recommend going up Accuracy first. So you can actually hit something. Once you get about Sniping II I'd grab Concealment I real quick for ConcealShot. Just make sure you are prone and using Aim when doing so. It's slower but there is less of a chance of getting aggro'd. Of course that depends on what you are fighting.
Finish off Sniping branch then go up Counter-Sniping. Once you finish Counter-Sniping go back and finish Concealment.
However if you use a pet tank or something like that. You may want to go to Counter-Sniping III first to get the AoE attack and then up the other branches.
Also, now that I qualify for the T21 what are the standard stats on this wepon. I know it's going to vary server to server but if you could put me in the ballpark I would appreciate it. You can go with the T21. I did most of my Rifleman with the Laser Rifle though. It had better HAM costs. But then that was prior to buffs, armor, and good Chef foods.
Get a couple guns and get them sliced. Many say get speed powerups and slices prior to Master. However you may want to figure out the average damage using damage slice/powerup vs speed slice/powerup. You may be at a point where you will do more damage on average using the damage set up compared to the speed setup.
If you need help with figure out the numbers let me know. Just post stats on your rifle and I'll run thru them with 'ya.
Get a DXR-6b. It's AP2 and acid damage. You shouldn't need a Jawa much for PvE. Anything that is low resists to stun will usually be fairly low vs acid or energy too. With the higher AP it should come out about equal.
Anyways, thanks for the help. I'm actually looking forward to the grind. Welcome to Rifleman. Hope you enjoy it and good luck.

Thanks for the advice. This is exactly what I wanted to know. ![]()
Hopfully soon I'll be able to enjoy some of the higher level content with my new skill set. The states affects and AOE in Carbineer are really cool and alot of fun but the shear damage done in Rifleman is impessive to say the least.
One further question if you would, when I get to Master how many points in SEA speed attachments am I going to need to cap the slowest specials? Obviously this is dependent on my wepons speed but at that point I'll go out and buy a top of the line damaged oriented stocked T21. Hopefully I will be able to find a smith to make a HQ Krayt wepon for me.Keep in mind I also will be retaining Master Marksman.
Thanks again for the excellent responses.

+7 in SEAs should get you speed capped.
