This message is for those riflemen who are doing the Phase 3 FS quest from Capt. Sarquillo in the Village. First off, let me say that I am doing the Dageerin quests first, so I cant do the Sarquillo quest til I finish with Dageerin tomorrow. But I have been doing tons of reading, and spent a lot of time this weekend on Dath and ran into a bunch of the Sith Thugs from Sarquillo's quest.

Basics of the Sarguillo quest: You are basically told to go capture a Sith Base Commander. Once you get to the base, some very tough Sith Thugs spawn. You have to kill five of them to get the commander inside the base to spawn. You have to get into the base to the commander and "capture" him (radial menu option) AND get him back to the village alive. It can be an impossible quest if you don't do any investigation. It MAY be possible to solo this quest, but very very difficult. It is STRONGLY recommended that you bring a tough cohort. Ifyou do this quest with two people, then you get a really nice extra reward.

However, this post is NOT a tutorial on how to do the quest, but just information on the very tough Sith Thugs. For those who don't know yet, Sith Thugs are approximately 46-50K HAM with 80% resist to most everything AND ArmorProtection 3.And they fire back with very tough weapons. You should NOT think about taking these guys on without good buffs and better armor. While I was hunting on Dath this weekend, I came across three seperate groups of these guys. I managed to kill 5 and had the last one down to about 100 Health when I carelessly let my mind expire. Here is my experience:

1. First, I just wanted to say that a Master Rifleman can take these guys out one at a time, but it just takes a while.

2. If you have to face more than one of these thugs (and you will) you will needto usemindbleeds to draw them individually away from the others. If you get aggroed by more than one, you will need to run until just one chases you.

3.Required Equipment:

-- You must have good Stim B's and Novice Medic to heal Health/Action.

-- As I said before, good armor (which will take a beating) and good buffs. Ahrisa and Brandy a MUST.

-- Adecent T21 with power-ups.

-- Recommend some milk (? dont remember name) to HEAL your mind.

-- Muon for emergency.

4. The GOOD NEWS is that they are NOT aggressive chasers (at least all the ones I came across). Once I ran past 64m, they either stopped, walked slow, or in the case of the last 3, actually CRAWLED after me! LOL. I had no trouble getting just out of range and stimming my health back up. Your mind is what you have to watch.

Again, these guys take several minutes and LOTS of shots from your T21 to kill.

To see how to actually complete the quest, go check out the fairly new Force Sensitive forum. There are several guides there. The main thing to remember is to use brains, not firepower, and two people is better than an army for this one.

i completed it saturday and the best teammate a rifle person can have is a sword user. that way your both hitting mind and the thugs go down VERY fast. i took the hits thanks to my FS ranged defense i was able to effectively tank the thug long enough to draw him back to my sword friend and then he took over the tank duty and the thug switched to melee and it was pretty much over for him then.

on the way back to the village with the commander rifle served admirably with strafe2 engaging the enemy sith trying to rescue the commander while we escorted him back.

it would have been a great deal harder keeping the commander in check without strafe2.

tell me what you think of this method for doin the mission, its for a rifleman with a lil bit of smuggler,(i haven't tried this yet but i think it may work). assuming you've already taken care of the turrents and shield, use concealshot to down 5 of the sithso the commander will spawn,(which im sure will take awhile). then run into the base. then use feign death while inside the base. then when you get up you should be able to grab the commander and run outa there, maybe with the help of a friend to get the attention of the rest of the thugs. plz let me know what you think.

Ally... I am also Master Smuggler, and I was wondering how Feign Death may help me. I will definitely have it for a backup plan. But I don't think you are going to want conceal shot to take out the Sith Thugs. There is a one-hour timer from when the shields go down that you have to get the commander back to the village. You will STILL be conceal-shotting the thugs after one hour!

from what i have heard you dont have to kill 5 sith just opening the inner gate is enough to make him spawn. not sure if this is true or not as it is hearsay and i havent tried it. but it sounds plausable.
