OK... may not mean a lot to some, but since I'd only tried it once before and died a horrible death, I was pleased to get one. And I had a little help from my smuggler skills... had to feign death a couple of times.

When I killed her, my inventory was at 53/60 items. I looted her and got 7 heavy duty leathers. I sent a tell to a friend and he promptly replied "Dude, loot her again!". So (not in big need of cash) I quickly deleted 5 of the 7 leathers and turned to loot her again, but she disappeared just as I went to do that. My question is, do they ever drop more than one type of item? In other words, because of my full inventory, did I possibly miss out on some other great loot (other than the leather)? If more leather was all I missed, then I can live with that. But if they have the possibility of dropping several cool items, then I'm kicking myself.

You would have recieved a message that would have said "you were unable to loot x items"...if not you might have just happened to get lucky and had seven spaces in your inventory....the exact number that the NS was carrying...usually if they have anything on them the corpse wont disappear for a while until it is completely looted.

Don't worry, you didn't miss anything. You can loot a few items even if your inventory is full so you could be up to 62/60. Also, if there was something you couldn't loot, you would get this system message: "You failed to loot (x-amount) of items from corpse of Night Sister Elder." The corpse would also stay so you could delete a few items and loot it again. If it disappeared and you were only at 60/60, you didn't miss out on anything.

I may have missed the message about not being able to loot everything... I certainly don't remember seeing it. But she definitely did not disappear immediately. After I looted the first time, I had the quick conversation with my friend, destroyed 5 or 6 inventory items and took a quick screen shot... then she disappeared. I'll be more careful in the future.

when killing something big like an elder and i get a loot msg and the corpse is still there i check it manually using the loot option from the radial menu. i also keep a trash sack handy when going on looting sprees.

sometimes the biggees like elders can drop multiple items. just be sure to keep an eye on the corpse it wont poof right away if it still has items left. but it will poof within a few minutes. that is the time to delete the trash bag where you should have been putting all the junk loot as you acquired it anyway.

ROFL, dont be surprised when you get crap loot off an elder(or just credits). It happens to me all the time.
