I just logged on for the first time in 2 days. I went out to my usual hunting ground and began to fight. To my horror, I stopped moving everytime I went to take a head shot. This hasn't happened before. I was always able to run and do headshots, so long as I was willing to put up with the big accuracy penalty. Am I bugged or was this a recent change? =/

oh I also wondered about something else.

I go prone. I mask scent, I take cover. Then I mind shot a mob. Well my mob runs all around looking for me but all his friends charge in. Um... what's the point of all this stealth stuff if only 1 mob doesn't see you right away? Doesn't do me a whole lot of good to be prone and immobilized only to have 5 animals chewing on me....mmm-mmm... sniper sandwich.

Is this a bug or was this done on purpose?

Yeah i have noticed the same thing.

Mask scent and take cover as is the whole rifle skil tree, after so much due though, i think is based more around PvP the PvE. I take cover, mind shot, head shot the original target, but then the others swarm me and i cant do anything about it except get incapped.

The more i think about it the more i releiase that i think rifleman are meant for PvP, which in my case is cool, becuase eventually that is what i want to do, but taking on mobs is a little harder, specially pack mobs. paralopes are to easy now, one shot one kill, and the attack one at a time if you do it right, a good way to earn some quick credits. My best was 22k in an hour, but the xp i was crap, i think i got arounf 3k

There are different types of creatures, some of which are social and some of which are not. The easiest thing to do is fight the non-social ones, since you can kill one of their warren-mates and they won't care a bit. If you do fight the social ones you have to be prepared to fight all of them at once, using warning shot, kiting, etc. to keep them off you.

In my opinion the fact that a social creature's friends ignore your masked scent is a bug, but I don't know what the official line on that is.
