So the 2 handed sword normal attack damages the mind? Or do you have to use a special attack? Also, what other kinds of 2 handed swords are there?

Do you think this is a better strategy than just attacking with the rifle? Thanks again.

Normal 2h attack is random. You get /mindhit1 at the advanced level, and it goes up from there.

IIRC, you get 2h axe at intermediate, 2h cleaver at advanced, vibro axe at expert and scythe at specialist. As a swordsman, the 2h elite profession, you get power hammer. I don't think it matters anyway because so far all I've seen for sale are the huge axes.

I got to advanced pretty quickly, but then I was getting too many abilities forefficient fighting (switching weapons, switchinghotbanks, etc). I went back to using a good CDEF rifle formelee work. In fact, I get +10 modifiers with the rifle, and I was getting -17 with the axe.

Plus you can stack the Rifle DoT and the 2h DoT (Mind Hit I is a DoT even though it says it wounds the mind pool, I just got it) for some good mind bleeding.

TKA has precision striking that does Mind Hit 1 which with vibro knucks does some good damage

I love the rifle skills, and I want to stick with it. But I also picked up some polearms for close combat. Is this a good combo? I've heard people say that 2 hand swords are a good way to go but I'm not sure why?

Can anybody give me some good advice on a good melee skill to complement Rifle? Thanks.

My friend is a TKA and also working toward Rifleman and seems to like it..though he tends to beat down more with melee then use his rifle in most situationsbecause he is better at TKA then at rifle atm

Rifle and 2h sword are recommended together because they both use special mind attacks. You can wittle down the mind pool with your rifle then finish it off with a huge axe.Switching toany other weapon type in melee is almost like starting over.

Right now I'm an expert rifle and expert 2 hand sword artist. I start out prone with my DLT20a and go with headshots. If they survive the first 3 shoits I switch to my 2 handed axe and 2-hand heat hit them to finishg them off. Works like a charm.
