Thread: Rifleman/TKA Hybrid stats
I am looking to take the Rifleman and TKA trees to master and wanted some advice as to stats. I want to stike a balance with decent tanking ability without infringing too much on my rifleman abilities. All advice is appreciated.
Thanks

Many people have different views on how the HAM should be divided for Rifleman and for TKA. My advice would be to test them out yourself, you may change the distribution based on what you want to hunt, if you hunt something that mainly attacks your health then find out how much mind you need as well as enough action to use your rifle special moves. Personally I have not touched my stats since my characters creation, the main thing is finding a decent weapon, i'm not going to use a rifle that has a high HAM cost when it can be crafted to have a much lower HAM cost. Right now my E11 rifle shoots as fast as a CDEF rifle and has high damage and low HAM costs so I could actually lower some of my points and add to health but nothing really ever gets in my face so I dont worry about stats yet.
PVP is a different story however, since people can see which of your bars are lower they may choose a weapon based on that. IE if a master marksman see's that you have a low action bar he/she may bring out a carbine and perform some leg shots hoping to cripple you based on your low action pool. So PVP may be a little trickier to distribute your stats.

I guess Ill tinker with my stats and talk to my regular healers to see how much pain I am putting them through, and adjust accordingly.

Well the first TKA master posted his stats as 1000 Health, 1000 action, 700 mind with minimized str, con, and the rest going for trying to max out the regen stats. I toyed around with this some and found out that I did not need so much action, and I dropped down to 900 action and dumped the difference into focus/willpower. I think it is something like
1000 health
600 str
700 con
900 action
400 qui
400 sta
700 mind
400 focus
450 willpower
I think the action costs and regen for moves etc is about right for this blend, but am still not so happy with the focus / willpower. When you spam headshots, you drop your own mindpool down by about half which puts you in that range of the one shot guy.
Just becareful with those non-HAM stats (like Strength and focus). For each HAM stat there is one stat beneath it that determines how that stat burns. For example, if you have a high Mind pool but a very low focus, then the high mind pool will get drained very FAST if you use special moves that use mind. However if you use a special ability that barely uses mind then dropping focus a little and willpower (the regenrate for mind) could be ok.
