Well, I decided to put post up, for people to give me current issues theyve found, and possably tests theyve done. Not only bugs, but things you feel should be added to better help the Rifleman in both PvP and Pve, although I think were pretty much set PvE. ![]()
Current Bugs I have found myself.
Master Rifleman bug, getting mroe then a +20 speed boost. Dhosis, the master Rifleman said he was pumping out a Head Shot ever 2 seconds. Yes this would be a bug, and a very overpowering one. No we should not be doing a shot every 2 seconds. ![]()
Cover Glitch, it seems currently at the moment, to succesfully get into cover and use the proper styles out of it, you have to prone then cover. (tested to a degree)
Suppression Fire Shot, yes this is in the Marksmen tree, but I feel its extremely useful to the Rifleman. No it doesnt work at all. (Tested)
Sniper Shot bug, currently I dont think Sniper Shot is working properly. Or at some points it works, at others it doesnt, Im doing the test today, when Im testing a few other things.
Head Shot 1-3. If your wondering what this is, it was posted on the marksmen page. Its basically saying, that the DPS on HS1 is better then HS2 and HS3. This was probably not intended. (Testing bieng done today) Ill be using a CDEF rifle, with a min dmg powerup, in order to get less variance between dmg and so my target can live longer
SG82, and as someone mentioned bowcaster as well? They both have 110 condition?
Addtions-
A better max range, Rifle should have more of a range then any other rifle. 100 meters, seems most logical.
Any other bugs, or additions you feel should be added post here, ill get to testing them when I can. If you could do the tests for me, that would be much apreciated.
You mentioned sniper shot.
I dont have that skill yet, but I heard someone talking about how it should fire off faster. Basically you are PvP'ing, and take someone out from a distance, you then have to wait for your sniper shot to go off to get credit for the kill. By that time someone has already walked up and given a /deathblow on your kill.
i htink firing off a headshot every 2 seconds after hitting master rifleman is perfectly reasonable. You get something like +100 to speed for going that far in your skill. I assume this is in percentage terms. So if you get a rifle the has an attack spped of 4.0 and add your speed bonus, dontyou think you should fire at least twice as fast?
The range thing? I just want pistols and carbines to be just as innaccurate at 50+ meters as rifles are under 25 meters. That would solve a lot of problems.
This may be a general bug affecting all combat types, but being a rifleman I've only noticed it using a rifle.
Presently, if I use /mindshot to cause a mob to bleed, and the mob dies due to the bleeding, I get 0 xp.
I cannot even harvest the mob (I'm also working on the Scout skill tree). I get the "You do not have permission" message. The game acts as if someone else has killed the mob. I haven't tested this with looting though, only harvesting.
Note that this only happens when the mob dies due to the bleeding DoT. If I open up combat with a /mindshot and then use /headshot to finish it off, then everything is perfectly fine.
Mind shot every 2 secs at master seems perfectly fine to me. Pistol users get this at noob levels and we have to earn it by investing in master title.
I agree. I dont think the speed at master is a bug. I think its a nice reward for hard work.
Everyone keeps comparing it to pistols, but noone mentioned we have to be at around 60m forus to really be effctive. Pistols can basically be awywhere...and they can be running around.
Yes the 2 second bonus should be the reward for working through this profession that by all right should be an actual sniper. If I am using anything but a spraystick at 30m I can barely hit the thing. We have to be at 60m to be able to definately get the hit in, and then when the mob runs at us it is most likely 1 or so shots you have a chance to get in before they are at you.
What was the speed of the weapon he was using when he did this? Not how fast he got the shot off. Also yes pistoleers can do this whenever they want while beind at almost ANY range they want. Yes this is true as I am also a novice pistoleer and just 1 shot everything I can running by as I enter the 64m range on my way to missions. I miss once in awhile, but not more than 1-2 of my hitsout of 5 miss at that range. When I am out of my rifle's range though I miss about 4.5 out of 5 hits. I have to say that casue I may actually miss 5 out of 6 times, but kept the 5 as a constant.
What you're forgetting is that rifles and pistols of the same tier are not equal. Pistols have a much higher dps than rifles of the same "level". Go ask any master weaponsmith and he can tell you this.
I think the large speed bonus that rifleman get is meant to offset the relatively low dps of their weapons.
Oh, and I can never ever get surprise shot to work. Am I doing this wrong? I take cover, then click surprise shot, looking at my combat tab, there's a little delay, I don't shoot my surprise shot, and then I just shoot a normal shot.
