Greetings. I'm a Ranger/Rifleman in Starsider, the wonderful server that high end rifles(spraysticks,laser and T21) cannot be made. I decided to do a little experiment with the rifles that we have available iin our server. And this is what I came with:

1: the dlt 20 rifle appears to do more damage than all the other rifles in the server. At least judging by the chat screen and the damage description.

2: The E11 rifle, although it seems inferior both in the description and in your chat window, if you look to the damge done that floats on top of your enemy, the damage is higher in most cases, not necessarily a lot higher but higher.

3: After finaly reading the armor tutorial at the home page I realize that the E11 should have better damage cause of its armor rating.

4: dlt20 rifles are in evry vendor you look. It seems to be the most popular rifle in the server. This leads me to believe that Because E11 seem inferior at first sight smiths havent experimented as much and sell mostly dlt20 that are very good and easier to sell to the noobs like me that know nothing about armor.

Please tell me your opinion on this. I'm I wrong? should I go back to dlt20s? are E11s really that much better? Please feel free to agree or disagree with this acertion and if you disagree why is that?

PD please keep in mind that starsider have no better rifles when agreeing or disagreeing. the only rifles availabe are jawa,tusken,dlt20 and e11

The E11 is a WONDERFUL weapon! Yes, the damage in the combat window is lower but the damage ACTUALLY done to the mob - as evidenced by the floating numbers - is MUCH higher.

E11 does more damage than the DLT20a. This has to do with the AR rating of each weapon, discussed on another thread. But the cost for special moves is higher on the E11, at least at the current production levels. Try it. Do a destroy mission and zap the same animal with each weapon. You'll see the difference.

I dislike the E11. I am using a far superior DL20a at this moment as my primary rifle. I can shoot consistent 800-900 point headshots with it. The mind drain is also VERY low. The weapon was sliced, and now shoots at4.0 speed. I also use speed modifiers which I carry with me in my backpack. The speed modifiers can get my gun's speed down to 3.4-3.3, depending on the modifier I use.

I have not seen any E11 that perform anywhere near as well as my DL20a. I bought one a while back and was seriously disappointed with it.

Also, when the best Master Weaponsmith on your server, Thoax, pumps out extremely high quality DL20a's, you are bound to go with what is best on the server. You can have your E11. My DL20a is a rapist.

personally i wouldnt touch a dlt20a ever again. i use 3 rifles based in the what is happening. i start the first with the t21, (when it works it will be the best weapon), the second is my e11 (man, i love this weapon, unsliced i am at 150 max and speed of 5, but it has an ap rating of 2, so that 100 low goes from 100 to156 and the high goes from 150 to 235 as good as a damage sliced dlt20a but i dont have to worry about lowing over 50% of my damage if the mob has an armor rating of 1 or 75% if they have an armor rating of 2.

also if i can get a 30% speed slice and use a power up of -25% speed on it i am looking at a weapon that has a speed of around 2.7. very fast and very good all round weapon.

See that's one thing we dont have on our server. Good Resources. I am on Gorath, and we are missing the needed resources for T21, otherwise I would have one. Same goes for our weapon powerups. Cant find a really good one anywhere. Have to settle for mediocre stuff at best.

for pve the E11 is ok with a good slice you can have a 180dmg not to shabby. For Pvp it sucks the Armor pierce doesnt work. The Dlt i can got up to 236dmg and is a much better wep to me shoots faster and hits harder ill keep i give me a T21 dammit till then im using Dlts

i personally like the e11 better cause of its faster attack speed. my sliced one is 3.6, and with a good power-up its down in the 2.x range. thats just as fast as a spraystick but more reliable and higher damage.
