Thread: Are HAM costs bugged for Rifleman?

Maybe its me, but every rifle I had had ADDS up the total HAM costs from the three different bars and subtracts in only from the mind pool. I assume this is the same way for every other profession but some posts have been written that make me wonder whether or not somethign is not working.

I thought a HAM cost of 30/30/40 would mean that whenever you used a Rifle special attack 30 would be deducted from health, 30 from action, and 40 from your mind pool. That, to me, makes sense.

can someone shed some light on the suvject

It does work like what you described, except each special has multiplier for each pool cost.

So let's say headshot 2 is 0.5x action, 0.5 health, 1.5 mind (I don't have the exact number I'll just use those for example) and you use a 20/20/40 rifle, each headshot2 with that rifle will use 10/10/60. Of course the 10/10/60 are raw costs and need to be adjusted for the appropriate secondary stats of your character (focus, etc...) and once adjusted those will be the real values substracted from your HAM bars. Let's say after adjustement they come up to 8/7/47, the number above head will appear as the total HAM loss (62 in this case), but the real damage substracted from your HAMS will be 8/7/47.
