Thread: Is Mind Shot 2 worth five skill points?

Ibecame a Novice Rifleman to use the T21 when it gets fixed. I really like Mind Shot 1, and I was curious if Mind Shot 2 was enough of an improvement to justify spending five extra skill points?For those unaware:after the next patch Mind Shot 1 and Mind Shot 2 will no longer stack.

Well it definately ticks for more damage (ie you can get a consistantly higher hit than MS1 - the initial hit corresponds to the subsequent mindpool ticks).


Arfhghgh... no more stacked DOT's... well thats our prof even more screwed then... solo'ing is gonna be even harder.. pretty pissed off about that...

Mindshot2 is well worth it if you ask me. I've gotten up to 1.5Kish bleeds with it, which is quite an improvement on Mindshot...In regard to the comment made about our weakness in soloing: I think we just have a significantly different playstyle than some of the more flashy knockdown equipped ranged professions in the game. Earlier today I soloed a giant desert kimogila using mindshot2 and headshot2 without any problems. Mindshot2 is one hell of a bleed.

If they nerf our stacks on the MS I and II I might leave the game .



I'm sick of the broken things remaining broken , with excuses that there are not enough resources to fix them .



Seems like there are plenty of resouces to go around when it comes to draining the fun out of the game and nerfing anything that might advance us too fast . I don't even see the MS I and MS II as that big of a deal , certainly not that big of an advantage when ya look at how ridiculously underpowered we are compared to the other professions .



Seriously might give this game up if they put this BS in , I'm NOT having enough fun to deal with this kind of BS frustration .



WHY THE HELL WOULD THEY NERF THE DOT STACKS AND NOT THE PISTOL RIDICULOUS RANGE AND POWER OVER EVERY OTHER **edit** WEAPON IN THE GAME ???????

That's bull$hit. If they take out Mindshot1 and 2 stacking, then why would they keep stacking of different shots. IE bleed shots of a different kind. I dont see the point in taking something out of the game when it is quite possibly one of the coolest parts about the rifleman profession.


Besides... where the hell did you get that information. I have been reading all over the place and have not heard any mention of this sort of nerf.

There was something i read about a bleed stacking exploit fix.. not sure if that has already been implemented in live or whether this is on the test server.. or if this is something different to what is being referred to here in this thread?

its a bit below my favourite line "increased power of bountyhunter/commando moves".


We need a high level char on the test server for testing purposes. Aldeon.. is there any way you can use your correspondant influence to get a Master Rifleman rolled on the test center? would be useful for future use.

The DOT stacking exploit is not stacking MS 1 - 2. I dont know it exactly, but you could stack 1-2-1-2-1-2 infinitely....that was the exploit.

From my experience with other games, I thought the exploittheyspoke ofwas stacking mind shots. Thank goodness.


Considering the new 75% reduction in damage against other players, would it be useful toget a mind shot or two stackedon another player then run away while they slowly perish from unhealable mind damage DoTs?
