Hello, my roommate and I are aspiring rifleman (he actually has novice rifleman, I'm getting Combat medic/rifleman at the same time) and we are baffled by this question. We have checked message boards, everywhere in the game that we could think of, and even the strategy guide (which is expensive). So, we are wondering....does MindShot 1/2 cause bleeding to a creature/human/player's mind HAM? Similarly, ActionShot and HealthShot would do the same to their bars (green and red respectively). I'm sorry if this is a very simple question, but we just can't figure it out. Thank you all very much, and may the force be with you.

Yes. That's exactly how it works. Mindshot became my best friend right after I achieved it.

I dont completely understand mind shot. I use it, and it'll hit there body, and say it caused 500 damage, yet I don't see a decrease in their HAM. It does start them bleeding, but how often will it decrease and by how much? Is there some sort of formula?

It takes time, its a DOT(Damage Over Time) ITs about 20 seconds per tick, or around that.

So basically Mindshot is DOT where Headshot is instant damage? Why bother usinga DOT though? Xp is based on damage and it seems like the instant would always be favored over the DOT to max xp.

You hit a DOT to start...then hit your headshots while the DOT chews away at their HAM. Its like getting two hits in per shot til they stop bleeding.

Does bleeding affect creatures, or only humanoid players and NPC's?
I've used Mind, Body, and LegShot 1 and 2 before on many creatures (and humanoids, esp. meatlumps
), but it looks to me like it only causes outright damage, not continuous bleed damage. And I never see a bleed icon appear on the target's HAM bars in the upper right corner of the screen. Am I missing something or is it broken for me?
Thanks!!

I start with a mindshot with anything that has over 1k of mind...Just in case your headshot2 doesn't hit them hard you waste away at their mind pool until your second shot. Trust me ..it helps when you go against yellows or whites.....
