Thread: Nitches nerged....what were you thinking SOE?

SOE just made one of the dumbest move today nerfing those beasties.



Before they had 10k ham, non-social yellow mobs.



Now they are 20k Ham, BAF red mobs....



But the thing is, they are still worth 10k a mission. So people will still rush the lairs and get the cash, and thats what needed to be nerfed, not the mob itself.



Now, we cannot walk on dathomir without being aggroed, as they were like the only yellow mobs there, we cannot hunt them neither.



Is it a coincidence or not that they were the best prey for the rifleman? are we that hated?


Melee and CH and classes with knockdowns can still solo kimos and laugh....but we are screwed of our best mob, back to bantha matriarch or **edit**ty snorbals. Bantha are ok, but can only be found by pure luck, and when a spawn is over, its back to 30 minutes to find another one...



go figure.....

What?!?! **edit** it! This always happens right when I start hunting things. First it was jax's I only discovered them for 2 days before they 'fixed' them. Then i just discovered baz nitches 2 days ago, and guess what they did? NERF It's like they don't want us to hunt anything worth while!

Um, it seems the HAM is unchanged at 10K. Now they aggro and heal lairs. Dathomir is a tough place that should not be able to be solo'd. Why is this a problem? Go get a few crazed durni missions if all you want is money or XP. If you want a challenge, get some friends, group up, and go to Dath. This is the way it always should have been. There is an MM in front of RPG for reason.

You're right, my bad, they are still 10k, targeted something else...



BUT first off, crazed durni are way too slow. they are like 300 xpp and I need 450k per box. The fun of the game is RP'ing and organizing events, not grinding xp. So, for me, the real game starts when I hit master rifleman and commando. PVP becomes more fun too, as I can actually kill people.



Grouping is good, but not as fast as soloing them. And I think every planet should be able to be soloed for the casual player that dont have time or dont want to group.

I disagree, the casual gamer, will progress in time, maybe he should learn to plan events with his friends. If everyplanet was solable, and nothing Bafed, or nothing healed lairs, and everything gave me 10k, or if everything were as slow as Jaxes pre-nerf. It would be to easy, as much as I like it easy, they do need to make it so people want to group more. But they also need to fix there stupid as group XP sytem. Its a competition of how much damage you do. I use a DLT20a, get off a shot every 2-3 seconds, so naturally I can get more XP. But a Master Pistoleer will get more XP then me however.


They need to make it so if you do damage with your rifle to it, thenyour split of the XP is rifle XP. And split the XP between the group. I grouped with a bunch of novice rifleman the other day, or a bit off of it. I was getting about 1.8k a pop, and they were getting 600-800. The higher up you are the better XP your going to get. While this seems right, it sucks when you group with a class who has better DPS then you. YOu lose all your XP. We added a master pistoleer later on, my XP dropped from that 1.8k to 1k. While the others were getting 300.


There group XP system is just messed up is all, wich makes everyone want to solo becuase it sucks ass.

This is why I don't powerlevel. I shoot what threatens me, harvest fromwhat I happen to shoot, camp when I need to heal up, and help out others when they need it. And I'm doing fine. I'm taking it slow and easy, and having a blast. When too many people advance too quickly (the game has been out how long, ffs?) developers inevitably find a way to slow them down. They don't care about fairness, they care about revenue. They have exactly two options for people who level too fast: devote resources to creating more content to keep them entertained, or find out how they levelled so fast and keep other people from doing the same.


So please, just take it easy, play the game and enjoy yourself. It's not a race, unless you're one of thosepeople selling accounts on EBay.

The disadvantage about rifleman is that its near impossible to get good xp in a group, so whoever said group on doth should be fired 8 ). The reason for the low xp is that are best shots, mind 1 and mind 2, usually do not give xp in a group. I found out the reason why they usually don't. Its because you only get the xp from the bleeds if you are the first one to hit it after they start bleeding. Give it a try. Make the creature bleed and then have someone else attack or have your creature attack. No xp. Similarly, if you just mindshot the creature and dont hit it any times after the initial shot, you will be stiffed. Ohh yeah, i got mega screwed off baz nitches. First while they were fixing it i got booted. Then they rolled me back about 30 or 40 minutes and i lost like 40k xp. Then when i get on, the Nitches are yellow so I shoot one and everyone suddenly turns red. I run and warning shot, killing the primary one and ditching the others. So then I bust out my 2 handed curved sword and hit3 the lair, only to find out they know heal like mad and the lairs now have 10k. I died.

Sorry I over reacted earlier, I was just kind of mad at the moment. I personally am not a powergamer, only for a few days at a time. Maybe for like 2 or 3 days straight I will go out to a planet and rack up exp. But the rest of the week I do fun things with my PA who are not powergamers either. Just yesterday we had a party at our hall for the 2 year anniversary of our PA. Like 100 people must have come, and we had master musicians and dancers put on a show and it was a blast. So don't start saying I have no life in SWG besides exp grinding because that would bea lie.

What pisses me off is that they slay you now. So if you get some unlucky shots with your laser rifle and they bring you down before you kill the second lair (use burst for the first), then you get sent back to the cloning center.

well they are supposed to be EXTREEMLY hard they are a 60 difficulty mission. and tons of people were soloing them (myself included, hey who can turn down that easy of money). personally i was waiting for them to do something, i was expecting the easy route of nerfing the money. and actualy am plesently surprised that they made them hard enough to be in line with the difficulty rating that they get, now if they would fix the group xp issue it would be great to do with the large group that it needs to do them.
