Thread: Few things...
Hello fellow Riflemen,
I have noticed a lot of people saying that /FlurryShot1 and /FlurryShot2 are useless, and that they wish too see them removed. I was wondering why? I happen too use these 2 Rifleman styles the most in PvE.
Example of when I use this style. Say I am doing Faction Destroy Missions, and I come up on a camp with 2 or 3 StormTroopers standing around chatting with each other real close together. The first 2 and only styles I use are the AoE ones. They are all going too agro anyway might as well piss them all off at once. So I open up with the AoE Stun shot, then follow it up with the AoE Dizzy, most times Human mobs that are ranged attackers will goto a knee too shoot back, when they do this, they fall down and are helpless for a few seconds. This gives me time too dish out some long range punishment too them. There are times where I can kill 3 stormtroopers at once without even having too heal.
I think the rifleman line is lacking some stuff, but I dont think removing Flurryshot is going to help us very much.
Somethings I feel need too be addressed is....
*Being able too heal while Prone, because you cannot heal in the prone position, I never use Prone, the only stance I use is Kneel. This might be more of a medic issue than a Rifleman one but, we are the only people who would actually use prone. Kind of dumb you have too stand or kneel too heal.
*With the next patch, in PvP damage is going too be reduced by 75%, this is a good thing for the game I think but bad for the Rifleman, our special styles use way too much HAM. When this patch comes out, styles are going too be our downfall I think. Being that EyeShot requires very little HAM, and can be spammed at max range, we are going too be screwed. I am not saying nerf nerf nerf nerf the pistol uses, but I dont think it would be too out of line for us to request that HeadShot3 no longer require 2.5x weapon Special Move HAM Costs. All our styles require too much HAM really, I know they are high because of the dmg we can do, but with a 75% reduction too that dmg, there needs to be a reduction in HAM costs (This holds true for some Carbine styles as well).
*TakeCover is crap, completely useless, as is SuppriseShot, hell it doesnt even work.
*Range, I feel Rifle users should have a greater range than 64m. We should not have the same Max Range as carbine or pistol users.
*SprayStick, all I can say about this PoS, is **edit** is it good for?
*Rifles, I think people who take the rifleman tree up too the top, should be granted a better rifle, some people are taking Novice rifleman just too use the T21. I think maybe Master Rifleman, should be granted another Rifle Cert, just a thought, most might not agree with this tho.
*Resists, do the resists we are granted even work?
*Only weapon class that doesnt have a knockdown, or even a posture change, kind of gimpy, but then I guess we dont want all classes too be the same. But most other elite profs, have some form of Knockdown.
Also another thing, there is a macro system built into the game, I would suggest creating some custom combat macros for when your fighting. I use 1 for PvE that fires off 2 styles for me with one click of the mouse.
