Thread: Resigning from Rifleman ..now what?
OK, I can't take the nerfs anymore.
At master sniper..
- Im missing heaps of T21 shots at ideal range while prone (master snipers shouldn't miss their targets, regardless of whether they are moving)
- while Im running away (sound familiar) with my spraystick equipped, warning shot only lands half the time at ideal range, but if I equip my pistol it hits nearly every time.
- Same problem as above for Suppression Fire 1.
- Apart from being far too inaccurate, the T21 damage is insignificant compared to the LLC and Flamethrower in PvP and PvE. In PvP, if I hit, I can do around 250hp damage on a good shot (this would be 1000hp in PvE), but the flames and LLC's are taking me out in a single shot and causing massive wounds. Im also being eye shot to ribbons by BH's at 65 meters, meaning I cant use any rifle specials on them. Rifleman is no longer viable in PvP unless you are shootingfrom the back of a massive group.
- Half the specials don't seem to work to our advantage (surprise, conceal, cover, sneak)
- The 250% melee damage penalty is ridiculous when creatures warp right on top of you. It should only be if you are prone.
Rifleman had the potential to be a wonderful profession - Im thinking of the snipers in Black Hawk Down who are inserted to protect the fallen chopper.
- Riflemen should be highly accurate, have stealth, and be able to shoot from a longer range than other classes. They don't have any of these abilities moreso than other classes.
- Our elite rifle (T21) should take advantage of our innate accuracy, and have very high damage head shots (if one massive bolt strikes a humanoidhead then that target should die). The T21does neither now and they cost about 65K each on our server for a good one (sliced). It's just not worth it.
Sorry about the whining, I don’t usually do this - but it's so obvious the DEVS DON'T CARE about this class and Im leaving because it's not fun anymore.
My question is...where to now?
I want to do something strategic like rifleman was meant to be, so Im not going to join the herds flocking to BH and Commando. But I want to be useful in PvP since our PA gets into that a lot. I’ve been looking around the forums and the CH's, doctors, and combat medics don't seem to complain very much.
Any suggestions?
tael.
PS. Please don't flame me for resigning before reaching master. Ive noticed quite a few master riflemen raising the same issues over the past week.
