Thread: Know your enemy , know your weapons , know your self
ok i write this due to I read , listened to nd seen the problems with the riflemen class ,
I'm a riflemen so i do understnad some of the grips and complants of the class , this what I have learned
form mistakes and asking questions to other players ,
Know the Enemy may it be a animal or player or npc , Look at the thing see if you have scout this a good thing see it weaknesses , and whats it strong against .
Know your weapon , Sounds simple but some get wrong a rifle is a real bad choise of a gun in close combat , keep other weapons on you for close combat may be a knife or a spraystick anything to hurt the thing whenit up by you .
Know your self , I know that sounds odd or stupid but think on it . If you know you cant take on a traget dont try to or find a way you can trial and error works painful but learn form your mistakes and use it to win the next fight
Iv'e learned this the hard way many time seeing a target and think hay an easy mark next thing finding my self in the clone center wonder what went wrong .
Well this my 2 cents on it many will disagree but this what i find form my experience in the game and from a lot of rather healpful people willing to put up with some my real bad mistakes
Spray sticks used to do acid
Tuskens used to do kinetic
Every rifle now does energy
So in that respect we're fubared.
As for knowing our weapon, pistol users don't need to switch, carbine users don't kneed to switch, as I keep bringing up and will keep bringing up till someone notices, why is it riflemen are the ONLY ranged class that has to rely on a second profession to be viable? It doesn't make the slightest bit of sense. If I wanted to be a CH I would have been a CH, if i had wanted to be a carbineer I would have been a carbineer.I don't want to take points from mastering ranger or riflemen to put into another profession just so I can be a viable combat class.
Know the enemy: If it mobs, we're dead, if it warps we're dead.
Know your self: Wow that T21 ham cost really does make my mind bar white in a hurry doesn't it?
Tusken should be kinetic, spraystick should be something other than energy. But not all rifles are energy as Dragonkat claims. Jawa is stun, SG-82 is cold. If you can examine to determine resists, or know the vulnerabilities of a certain type of armor then you can take advantage.
