If they make it where mind can be healed and the 2.5 melee damage modifier is still in place I think I will simpily cancel my account and never come back. The WHOLE reason I chose this profession is to attack the pool that couldn't be healed in exchange for gimped melee status like a mage in other games. As it already is rifle has to be prone to hit anything and so we can't kite. We take double damage for being prone from melee. We take 2.5 damage for using a rifle from melee. As it stands I believe they should remove the damge multiplier from carbine and rifle vs melee and increased the damage of being prone to 2.5X or 3X and kneeling to 1.5X or 2X.That or decrease the rifle melee modifer to 1.5X and the carbine to 1.25X. Right now as it is in PvE sometimes due to lag I will not stand up quick enough and at 15m the creature will remove half my life bar in one hit.

you would really stop playing all together? hey if that's what you want, but have you even thought about your problem for more thanthe second or two that it takes to feel cheated and angry?

First of all, the mind-heal ideas are nothing more than rumors started by people with nothing better to do thatn speculate what the game would be like if you could heal your blue bar. They will most likely not be put into the game...

Secondly, if any of the stated mind-heal ideas are actually put in the game (heal slowly, or healer has to stand next to the tartget for a long time, or entertainers can heal in the field, or mind-only campsetc.) then congratulations- you have just been givenmore easy kills- you should be happy!

Can you imagine shooting one guy in the head, and then having an ENTERTAINER of all people run into your sights to heal your target?!

POP! No more entertainer.

I personallyhope they do putthat in the game, as it willraise my combat stats

All i reallyhave to say onthe subject ofmind healing is that even if itgets into the game, it will have some seriousrestrictions attached to it that will ultimately equate to extra kills for the Sniper.

As far as melee 2.5x goes, this one i completely agree with you on- That damage multiplier is WAY to high and needs to be changed, but it still doesnt make me want to leave the game forever. However, if you are getting melee attacked as a rifleman, then you are doing something wrong.... and don't blame the warping thing because for most people it doesnt happen that often; certainly not that often to causea personto stop playing.

Every class has problems like this- check their forums and you will see everyone screaming about their own problems, just like we riflemen do. To think that Rifleman is the only nerfed class is to be seriously deluding yourself...

Last thing before i submit to flaming- The skill trees in Rifleman are NOT IN ANY WAY useless. Who cares that your conceal shot doesn't workwhen you have flushing shot 2? For those of you who don't know whatflushing shotis- it's an attack that hits multiple targets (mine has peaked at over 2k damage to MULTIPLE targets with my sliced laser rifle), andflushing shot 2has no time constraints like Knockdown or other high-level skills for other professions, so you can do it over and over.

I have news for all riflemen- The Sniping tree may sound cool, but it is NOT the tree you need to max first- My advice is to max Countersniping (for flushing shot) and Rifle Spec. Abilities.

Rifle Spec. Abilities will have your T21 or Laser Rifle firing as fast as that FWG pistol your enemy loves so much... and who's gun does more damage? Personally i will take a full-auto rifle over a handgun any day, even in a videogame (as long as its not Halo, heheheh, you know what i mean).

So please, i implore you- do not quit the game, just realize that your professionDOES suck in the beginning, and so what? Once you actually do the work and getfarther towardsyour master, you will be amazed at the damage you can do.

Thanks for reading this whole thing, and don't bother flaming me to tell me how lame i am- i LOVE my rifleman and nothing you say will change that

HOOAH

You promise?

"As it already is rifle has to be prone to hit anything and so we can't kite" Statements like this is why Developers need to rely on gamers less and their own enternal testing more.
