Ah, you have stumbled upon a great pvp secret...
The only thing you have to remember is not to EVER initiate the fight with area poison. When you do this you instantly become a target for everyone you just hit because of the auto-attack thing.
As long as arent the first person to attack, and then throw your poison in there you will be just fine because the enemies will be locked on to other targets.
And riflemen are not meant to be up in the think of combat- you should be about 20 to 30 meters behind your combat party (you should be there anyway for the CombatMedic aspect anyway), behind a wall or tree if possible.
The coolest thing about the Rifleman/CombatMed combo is that you are feared by very few people... which is everyone's most costly mistake...

If you mind poison and use your headshots ect.. this can be a pretty good pvp template.
Actually with the way CM mind poisons are doing 100% pvp dmg you are pretty evil w/o the rifleman skills. I have seen Cms take out 6-10 players with 1 ae mind poison stim. A master cm can do up to 500-600 mind dmg per tick with them and they last for 35 minutes. Even doctors are having problems with the poison cause it kills you so fast.
In pvm this template will probably get nerfed ( once the devs actually see it in action). If you stack mindshot 1 plus 2 you can do 2k per tick mind dmg. stack mind poison and headshots and you can actually drop Dark Jedi masters in seconds. The actual dps of this combined effect is obscene. I know one person with this template and if you could only see how fast she killed 10k plus ham creatures.
