In response onKettemoor boardto a question on availability of Spraysticks, it got me thinking...

They shoot green, they use 2xChemical Release Duration Mechanism, the only other schematic I know that uses them are Glop Grenades which are Acid Damage.

Shouldn't they do Acid Damage?

If this has been talked about before, I apologize. Ran a search came up with nothing.

Please disregard this, I just read the concerns in *State of the Profession* thread (/kick Lithium Search Feature)... Anyways anyone know if the DEVs have at least acknowledge this? I know the CRD components are supposed to be fixedon TC

Didn't they use to be acid? Why did they ever change it?

The problem with the CRDMs was that resources had no effect on stats and you can't experiment on them. They're fixed on TC so spraysticks get better damage, but I'm pretty sure they're still energy. Weaponsmith correspondent has submitted the energy/acid issue in the list of bugs so it might get fixed eventually.

You know, what's up with the delay fixing these things? I mean, how hard can it possibly be to change the attribute of an item in the game? Let's say that for bizare reasons all the items attributes are controled by an ancient cobal routine that is so complex only 4 smelly, scragly-haired programmers, all of whom are currently stoned and living in berkley, can edit it. Let's say there are 30, 40, even 50 attribute-related bugs, and let's be generous and say each bug takes all 4 of them a whole day to fix. What's that, a month? for every attribute-related bug in the game.

Now, let's drift back to reality. There is probably 1, or at most a handful, of places in the code where attributes like damage type are set. It can't take more than 10 minutes to change them. What is their problem?

*sigh* close rant
