Thread: One Second Riffle Speed Cap?
Is it true that there is a one second cap on riffle speed? I've seen apost saying someone's riffle speed was .6, and I've seen a lot of posts saying Master Riffleman is so much better then even being close to master. If there is a one sec cap, then it would appear that I would cap out my riffle speed before I make master. So why would master be sooo much better (other than that 5x dmg mulipt for Strafe2, hehe)? I know other stats go up too, like aiming ect... but most of the posts I read on how great master is seem directly associated to speed, comments like **a master riffleman shots so fast that the animation doesn't have time to work**. But when I look under the styles thread, it reads there is a one sec cap, and that one sec cap. So my questions are:
I
The reason people think it is lower is because they turn on timestamps and it can show faster than 1 sec attacks, BUT this is only because of the lag between client and server, If you do 20 attacks, the time should be ~20 seconds total time.

If the Devs put a 3second cap on Rifles, it should only take affect if we are able to shoot at further than 64m.
For example. They increase our range to between 100m- 150m,3sec shot cap is active. At 70m and below, the 3sec cap goes away, and we are able to shoot at regular speed.
If 3sec cap is put on us the way things are now, we will be in a serious hurt-locker.

I know, I'd be switching professions if that ever goes in.
