Hello Fellow Rifle man,

Well, I'm having trouble with my damage dealt out to critters. Because I'm on Wanderhome, the latest released server, there's not much Elite Professions in Rifleman, so I can't really compare to anyone on my server. So here's my Q: I have a laser rifle with specs 11-256 and I dish out about 90-700 Damage. Is that decent enough? I also had the rifle sliced down to 6.0 speed, is that still slow?

I'm hoping to start a Rifle Squad, so if anyone here's that on WH, send me a tell!

Thats not bad dmg for a Laser....If you can get 1 at 300 preslice your looking at a good one. 6.0 is also decent speed find a good speed power up and added it to your rifle....it will help a ton.....try to find a 32% speed reduction p-up thats the best I've seen so far on Naritus. Happy Hunting

Hmmmmm.Interesting. On Eclipse, those are terrible numbers for a Laser rifle. You can find pre-slice 400 damage lasers just about anywhere. Maybe its the quality of the components? Just in case, check in every weapon shop you can find.... Use the CTRL-V map, go down to Vendors on the right and check them out.

When all the regular shot and special multipliers are applied to a shot, a 50-point damage difference between rifles becomes huge.

Rifles on Bria are gooooooood. My own personal laserrifle does 673 max damage after a 30% powerup (damage sliced) and my pride and joy, my Jawa Ion Rifle hits 399 max damage (with powerup).

As far as speed goes, anything but a spraystick is going to be slow until you hit master.

Those numbers are probably not bad for where you are. If there are not a lot of elite professions yet, there are probably not a lot of experienced Master Weaponsmiths on your galaxy yet either, and there may not have been enough resource cycles to go through to get a stock pile of good quality resources to create better weapons. Eventually, expect to see Lasers with unsliced minium damage of around 40 and maximum damage around 400. Speed will normally be around 6.5 unsliced. Of course, the numbers will vary depending on the Smith and the materials available at the time.

But as indicated, look around at the various private vendors and get a feel for what is available out there. A good Laser on Intrepid goes for about 15k, so you will not see them on the bazaars in town.
