most people as they master rifle slowly pare down the marksmen combat xperience line. It is ok to lose. just make up the speed and accuracy with SEA's
also be prepared to reconsider all this once the CURB hits live... everythig goes out the window and who knows what will be good then.

As a Master Rifleman, you probably won't need the ranged support line. The most useful command in that tree is /aim, but if you use rifleman correctly, you don't need it that often, especially in combination with ranger.
As for dropping medic to stick with fencer, I dunno... it's up to you. I don't have any suggestions here.

If you are going 1 vs 1, against creatures, with warning shot, who cares what your defenses are?

At the moment, I'm working up Rifleman, and the RS line is VERY handy for the /aim command. I'm at 2104, and Conceal Shot works wonders if I can't risk aggro ... I ws trying Sith Pirates and Outlaws with that, unfortunately they despawned. I probably would have taken 3004, except I was looking to join in on the Melee Accuracy quest while somebody else wanted to do it. Another good use of the /aim command if you're Conceal Shotting is if you're burning your mind too fast (and mind buffs died) and need to slow down a bit...

True, what you say about the CURB..... Well, after giving up nearly all of medic i have about 20-something skill points, so I may not have to give up anything else until the curb....I'm not an Uber-Grinder

Oh, I use conceal shot all the time, killed two 'Untrained Jedi Padawans' today with it. ![]()

I find that as a Master Ranger/Master Rifleman with medic 0/1/0/0 works very well... most things are dead before any skill from the Ranged Support line are necessary! Although you could take the 2 points from Medic and put that into the Ranged Support line for the Aim command... but I think a faster heal rate is more important.
Of course, that's only my opinion. Play your character in whatever way you see fit... its all about having fun in-game.

As you near master Ranger, and Master Rifleman you will be forced to drop novice fencer, as Ranger is an SP hog...

I was afraid of that.......... oh well, maybe when the revamp Ranger they'll give us some defense mods...
