Thread: Special Rifle Clothing VS. Backpack

Hello,

I have a question regarding an article of clothing I bought from someone leaving the game...

It's a sash or something like that. It goes around your shoulder/chest and can't be worn with a backpack. I'm wondering if it's worth wearing or not....

The stats on the sash thingy are: Rifle aiming +10, Carbine Aiming +8

However, I have that retreat backpack thingy and that has general ranged aiming +5 I think and melee defense +3. To be honest although I'm not a Master Rifleman yet, I can't tell the difference between these items (although I confess I haven't actually properly experimented.)

Secondly, what exactly does a + attribute to 'aiming' do? Is it an advantage you get everytime you pull the trigger? Or just when you use 'Aim' first?

Thanks,

you need to use the /aim command first

it increases your accuracy by a substantial margin at the cost of 1 combat round per aim (you can stack up to three (maybe more))

if you need the backpack use it else the sash is pretty nice if you use the /aim command

Ah.. the ol' aim command... lol. I guess that's why I couldn't tell the difference (with the Backpack or sash). My bad.

Is it practical to use 'aim' in PvP? Or is it more of a PvE thing?

I personally have never used the /aim command in pve or pvp with any effectiveness except when i was a newb rifleman. I look at it in the same way as the brawler skill berserk - great at low levels, but loses its worth pretty fast with skill boxes.

acutally aim helps bypass Saber Block and also help when engaging Stackers.... especially if stand back and single them out in mass PvP and not 1v1 u can rip them up if u /aim /headshot3 or /strafe2... and i also belive that ur modifiers to the person u are targeting affect all targets hit that round so if u have good accuracy on him it will hit everyone else also
