Thread: master fencer or tkm?

I'm going for master rifles and I'm currently a tkm with novice medic. Should I go for rifles/tkm/some fencer or rifles/master fencer/some tka (meditate). Thanks for any replies.

I like, m rifles/fencer and 0-0-4-0 pistoleer personally, get great defences and with master fencer and a decent baton/gaffi you can at least try to fight jedi.


Tkm could be pretty good with meditate and powerboost, but the defences lack compared to fencer, but you make a bit of it up with pistols. It's really down to personal choice, but for me it's fencer all the way.

I choosed to get TKM for meditate and that if I ran into stuff that has Kenectic vul. I could killed them easly, but you said it was for PvP so then I liked Fencer better for the defenses it gives. Both are great combo IMO for PvP or PvE.

my template is tkm/rifles/pistols 0040/medic 2130, but I've also done medic 1000 pistols 0043

My friend is TKM/Fencer 4440/ Master Rifleman.. that temp does him very well in pvp, as long as he has someone to heal him

Not bad, but, you can get comparable defenses and healing if you do:


M Rifleman/TKM/Pistoleers Techniques 4/and pump the rest into Medic.


Both of the these temps (Fencer or TKM)are great, but IMHO, TKM is a better all around profession. I never liked fighting with Fencer, as I felt the attacks were too weak. Plus, TKM rocks for landing states. Either way, you will have a competent PvP template, so, don't feel too bad about which one you choose.


Personally, I like the TKM.

I'd say TKM/Rifles but I'm horribly biased as I have never gone beyond 1-handed 4

I think right now, TKM is definitely the move viable option for PvP.

Fencer is only good for dodge imho, there is no real damage there.

Personally I would think about the following;

1./ With more and more Jedi dominating PvP, Rifleman get eaten up stupidly fast - with at least 0-4-0-4 in TKA you can drop into VK's and absorb a lot of the damage with toughness.

2./ With TK you can still concentrate on the all important mind bar if and when u need to switch.

3./ TK can buy you that extra bit of time, if you use KD/Dizzy on someone who is pummeling you.

With rifle, obviously we will get eaten up in large scale PvP unless we have some way of absorbing Melee damage.

TK will help you to stay alive.

Fencer dodge will work with pistols, not rifle. So, if your're mainly using rifle, get the block from pike. I get state defenses from pistol and I'm TKM. I love my template for PvP.
