A DXR-6 is a carbine, a DXR-6b is a rifle. If you ahve a rifle with the name "DXR-6" or vise versa, then the WS who made it changed the title.

I bought a couple at an auction. The auction said they were DXR-6b rifles, but when I picked them up, their name was just DXR-6. I'd better check tonight and make sure I bought rifles, and not carbines.
Thanks much.

I think the 'b' on the end just marks it as the Rifleman model, always examine one of them before buying though.

You simply can't mistake a DXR6-b rifle over a DXR6 carbine.
The DXR6-b rifle has got a stock, scope and extended muzzle and looks awesome, whereas the DXR6 carbine looks like a two-handed, black vacuum cleaner
If you are in doubt always check the "variation of: *item name*" in the examine box.
