Rifleman Archive

I am currently working on a new character, and grinding my way to Master Rifleman, Master Ranger. I was wondering if anyone could give me any insight into PvP as a rifleman post-CU? I read a lot about getting pistoleer 0003 for the root, and it almost seems that if a rifleman wanted to PvP a lot, this would be needed to keep others out of range. I would like to have a good balanced template for doing both PvE and PvP (not uber, just where I can have fun in both) but would like to get master ranger and rifleman. Thoughts?
