Thread: MasterRifles..yet Carbine works better than rifle..

Im trying to figure this one out.
I am a Master Bounty Hunter on Eclipse. Tonight I used respec to switch from Master Carbine to Master Rife. I have a decent laser rifle that is max dmg of 1034 dps is over 500..cant remember exact.
I had a TKM friend of mine go sit in the field and be my target. When I would KD him and then use advanced sniping shot, I would get around 800dmg. I switched to my carbines two types, kinetic carbine and laser carbine..and I could hit him for 1200+ dmg after KD. The funny part is, the max dmg on my carbines are about 100 points lower than the rifle. I tested it at different distances and all.
I have no Clothing Attachments for carbine, same with AAs.
Could someone explain why a Rifleman appears to work better with a lower damaging Carbine than with a High dmg Rifle?
Same with duels. I could beat my TKM friend regularly with the Carbine in hand, but with the Rifle....naww...wasnt even close most of the time.

I'll explain it....
The CU is broke and they have not had a chance to fix the kajillion bugs it has. Give them a month or two to get it all straight.

You didn't include the wepoans stats. It could be that your carbines have a higher raw damage than your t21. Thats speculation until you give us numbers though. DPS value is eye candy, when you are considering on a per hit basis. Post complete stats of the weapons you are using.

Yes we need to see the stats on the weapons. Also what are your acc ratings on carbines and rifles? that helps with damage to.
However I have noticed on my 1022 max t21 (forget the min) imp HS does 1022 damg and Imp Leg hit (carbine attack) does 1089. Anyone explain that. My rifle acc is 313 damages are on pve mobs, unknow ranged def
