Thread: 1 1/2 years and now I a newb
New way is, got to MO, get a group, and go around killing stuff...
WAY simpler and cheaper, but slower.
Hereare my tips from a guy who basically quit SWG in the end of 2004 and returned to play the CU.
1- Get an advanced laser Rifle, the other rifles suck compared to the advanced.
2- If you want to hunt, find a group that has atleast 1 80'th level combatant in it and 1 Master Doctor. This boosts your Combat Level up and the Doctor gives you rez, yes in the new system you need rez.
3- Use the combo of Startle then Head shot, very effective for killing our MOB friends.
4- Buy some recon armor(unless you are someone who can use Battle or Assault), if you can use the other two, use battle if you are fighting MOB's that use melee attacks, use assault if you are fighting MOB's that can do both ranged and melee attacks.
5- Eat food that inceases your action Regeneration rate

Buy Pixie and Brandy. Load up on new Stim D's somewhere in the range of 1200 heal is good. Get Armor that leaves you with ZERO encumberance (depending on support class to rifleman) Get a good gun Advanced Laser or T21 are both good. Grab a group of at least 6 prior to pulling missions off the terminals. Choose missions that are 80+ (anything less is a waste of time.) Get your Enhancement Buff from your local Musician/Dancer for your 10 percent EXP bonus. Go out and kill things.
But most of all, loose the attitude and have fun.
