Thread: tumble abilities ? i dont see their use
hi
i dont see the tumbling abilities as being practical due to three things
1. high action cost - which is bad in combat as you already take dmg to your action pool, and this often causes to hurt yourself even more and get knocked out sooner.
2. they qeue with the otehr attacks. if you have a bunch of attacks in qeue and hit regular prone or kneel or stand, you simply change position immediately, but tumble manuvers remain in qeue so you have to cancel , do your tumble thing, then do the rest all over again.
3. i dont see any benefits of tumbling except maybe slightly faster execution which doesnt seem at all worth the action cost to me.
what you all think ?
i agree
i used it acouple times when i first got em and found that they are very useless
it drains your action pool alot and it doesnt help in the attack much
i dont see the point of it
somebody should bring this up to the devs, i'm sure this needs to be fixed and for a lot of people not just rifle users, since the skills are in ranged support.
Isn't there supposed to be some kind of defense bonus added?
Not sure if this has been tested but if you roll to a new position and it adds a defensive bonus beyond the one of just being in the position to begin with they might be worth it.
I hate the fact that I use a tumble move and it tells me I can't do mind shot while tumbling. then I hit F2 to kneel and it still tells me I can't do mind shot while tumbling. Then I press F1 to stand up and it STILL tells me I can't do mind shot while tumbling. It takes like 10-15 seconds before you're able to do a special attack.
Tumbling moves are a complete and utter waste of time and action points.
