Thread: Would This Be the Best Sniping Character Possible?

My personal goal for this game is to make the best sniper possible so I can take on some big game alone.... heres my master plan.

Novice Entertainer- (Good for healing mind wounds atcamps, and healing your own bf at remote cantinas)

Novice Marksman -> Rifle Specialist -> Pistol Specialist -> Ranged Weapon Support Ability (Ranged weapon because of the ranged defense, and tumble abilities are nice to)

Novice Medic - (Coupled with Novice Entertainer you don't even need to step into a hospital ever, plus its great for the wilderness)

Master Scout - (You get speed... traps... camps... camouflage.. all the things you need to be a sniper)

Novice Ranger - Wayfaring (More camouflage, and increased terrain negotiation for crawling)

Master Rifleman - (Pretty self-explanatory)

So what do you think of this character model? Anything that needs fixing?

The only problem is, I'm not certian you have anywhere near that many points to play around with.

The only hard and fast rule I heard was that you could master one whole proffesion, and take one side proffesion. Thus you could be a Ranger/Creature Handler, and have enough points for say basic medic. I dunno....you did leave out carbine abilites, which would clear up about 17 points....

I can't say. Certianly a sound charecter.

I live in this world. I exist in my own.

Jack of all trades. The classic "solo" character. Of course, you won't advance as fast as your 'specialized' friends. You win some, you lose some.

I think he has the necessary skill points since most of those are novice level. Can entertainers heal their own battle fatigue? I didn't think they could.

I am not sure what you mean by the best sniper. However, if you are looking for the best solo master rifleman then I would suggest master rifleman, novice medic with Organic one, and the rest in ranger. I wouldn't bother with entertainer if I were you since currently you can't cure your own mind wounds/battle fatigue.

IMO best sniping character would be, ideally:

Master Rifleman, Rifle Specialist

Master Scout

Master TKA, Unarmed Specialist

I was thinking

Master Scout
Master Rifleman
Rifle Line in BH
First 3 pistol rungs in BH

1 point left over

I think master rifle and master ranger would be the best sniper. Closest thing to invisable.

Why fill the whole ranger tree? Im going ranger but only for the explore/camo section. The hunting, trapping, and camp sections seem redundant for my sniper. I can make do in those feilds from what i gain in master scout.

The points would be better spent in 2H in my honest opinion. Either that or medic. Though i prefere a backup close range wep as rifle sucks hard once your target closes the range.

I like Friller's path...

Being able to be a Master Rifleman along with the Rifle skills of the BH you get the Acid & Lighting Rifle... DEADLY... Not sure their damage compared to the T21 though.

the only problem with Friller's strategy is that you need Master Marksman to access the BH tree so you have to waste all those points on carbine (and all that time getting the experience, 40k combat exp for Novice BH) just to access the lighting rifle tree which, as far as I know, is a HEAVY weapon, not a rifle, and therefore no benefit to an uber rifleman (other than being a potentially bada$$ weapon).

I think what Cyflar has outlined here looks pretty good. I recently picked up novice entertainer and i CAN heal my own mind wounds in camp...but not my own BF (in a cantina or anywhere else).

go for it dude.
