I just got my hands on a spraystick and tested it out on about 10 lowbie critters like worrts. Frankly, this weapon sucks. I have to admit that I don't really understand most of the stats on these weapons, but is there something I am missing regarding the spraystick? The stats on my spraystick are 10-127, 2.2 delay. I think the HAM costs are something like 15/15/40. I typically hunt with a crappy DL20A (don't remember the stats, but I've seen much better ones on the bazaar).

With headshot 2 the DL20A typically hits for around 400; the spraystick averages around 80. Even though the spraystick is much faster, I still do more damage with the DL20A over time, plus the HAM costs of the spraystick hurt more since it fires so quickly. Looking at the damage on these weapons, they should have about the same average damage. Was I just unlucky and hitting on the low end of the spraystick damage range, since the variance on the spraystick is greater?

Another thing is that the ideal range on the spraystick is quite low, 30m. Plus the graphic of the spraystick doesn't look like a rifle at all; it looks like I'm holding a can of pepper spray. It seems to me this weapon is out of place... I like the look of my toon carrying a large rifle, even if the damage was better I'd probably stick to the DL20A just for the looks.

heh but i love the green blaster bolts... although its so stupid that with special moves it still hasa red trail behind the green bolt which makes it look retarded.

I love my spraystick, just got it yesterday. It really is excellent for killing red mobs because of the fast attack speed. I was kiling desert eopies yesterday... I fire two headshots, as soon as they turn to attack me I still have time to fire one more and then fire a warning shot to get it to stop and run away from, and then i switch to headshots. With a DLT20 you won't have nearly enough time, by the time you can fire a warning shot they're already on you, and if you miss your screwed.

Yeah thespraystick is small (it looks like a lightsaber too. I actaully convinced someone i was a jedi).. seems more like a spraycan like you said. It should have been a pistol (and I actually find myself playing it like a pistol, running around with it while firing forgetting it stills is classisifed as a rifle and i'll get crap accuracy) but us rifle users need more good weapons.

Who cares, use it. You're DLT20 wont last much longer even if you dont use overcharge shots.
