Can 'cover' keep you concealed long enough to finish off high level aggros (like, say a Level 45 Gnarled Rancor or Level 35 Arachne?)

Just curious how well cover works, and if you can indeed snipe from concealment without much fear of reprisal.

Also, does Cover stack with the scout camouflage bonuses? Can maskscent or conceal help in this regard? Thanks! ~J

well cover and conceal are two different things.

cover only seems to work against lone mobs at the moment, however if there is a group and you can one-shot your first target, while under cover, his buddies don't notice you.

cover and mask scent appear to stack when hunting creatures, as after I shoot sometimes I'll see a "you've gained 27 points of scout XP" message.

If you're under cover and you shoot at a mob in a group of mobs, his buddies DO notice you.. it's broken in that way. At the moment cover supposedly provides you with a few ranged defense bonuses.. that's all, it does not conceal you from the targets for a longer period of time. It is in the process of being fixed.. it is currently broken.

concealshot works great on mobs that dont bring a friend(BAF), but dont miss...they will then see u and u can be in a world of trouble very quickly. when i get new shots i like to test them on low level mobs that i can kill easily.

cover doesnt hide you it protects you... so you can still be seen, just not much protection atm...

while conseal shot hides you if you hit and the npc mobs friends dont mind you hitting him hehe
