Thread: The long road to novice
Friend, if you're heading to Master, then you don't know the meaning yet of "long road".
My advice is to get yourself a bottle of Tequila, sit down on the floor, then go add up the total XP you will need to make master. When you wake up, if you still want to be a rifleman, Welcome Aboard! ![]()
But in all sincerity: Good Luck. In reality, rifle is actually a run and challenging profession BECAUSE of it's liabilities! You really have to plan, think, and react to be successful. I love it.
Yes it is a long road but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I am now 4,2,4,3 and I'll have the points to be 4,3,4,3 tonight. It's the 70k combat xp left that is a grind. The things I kill generally give over 4k rifle xp.
On another note, I was in need of CH training last night and the Master CH that trained me offered to train the WRONG BOX because he was spamming for sales and didn't pay attention to my request. Foolishly, I trusted him to offer what I asked for and accepted. Now, I have Taming IV instead of the Training IV and +2 stored pets that I wanted. Oh well, another week or so of grinding left to get another 140k CH xp.
having reached master rifleman and dabled in commando on another server
NO!
Thanks folks!
Maybe I should clarify...it was such a long road due to the 250 skill point max and my insistence on "unlearn(ing) what you have learned" to chase the elusive FS slot. I won't have enough points to get Master Rifleman and keep the rest of my template, so I just wanted to say thanks to all the input on the other threads in here about which skills are crucial for riflemen.
Let me clarify my reply:
Would you believe that Novice Commando is harder to get than Master Commando?
