Thread: Rifleman The only profession that requires power ups, food AND spice.
Well the title says it all...
Ask your Master Artisan friends what type of power ups sell the most....
Most will tell you its Max/Min damage first and 32% Mind Reduction / 16% Min dmg second.
Considering MANY more classes (including rifleman on bleed guns) use Min/Max power ups...and how few rifleman there are...how much we rely on power ups.
Next, as a chef what types of food he sells most....or what professions his best patrons are... Most I am sure will tell you brain foods and rifleman.
Finally, ask a smuggler what spice he sells the most of...Muon Gold will almost always be the answer.
What other profession requires so much just to kill something before we kill ourself?
Negative, my friend.
All professions require buffs if you want to use specials.
My diet doesn't consist of Tat sunburns, bivoli, omachek, and muon gold for no reason. ![]()

I have a pistoleer on another server and he never has to use buffs.
Carbineers I am sure it helps but a good stim can substitute for any buff and is probably cheaper than most foods.
Again...as far as I can see Rifleman are the only ones that really require these to hunt. The others can stim their way back to full.
But thats my two cents... I posted it SO that people could disagree or agree. And I DO agree carbineers need some love too.

Strange.... I have mostly gone solo until join a PA, and I never used food or anything to get where I am at, but now I don't like to go anywhere without at least a good buff from a doctor.
You are not that high leveled up yet. Trust me, when you start shooting faster, you'll need those moun golds.
I'm master, and I dont' use any buffs or spices or powerups at all. And I use a T21.
First, I'm Zabrak, so my mind heals very fast. Second, I take a rock beetle or krevol out with me, so he can take the initial hits and save me from getting warped on. I try to position myself so that the enemies will group themselves closely, and then let loose a bunch of strafeshot2s. Hopefully everyone's dead (I'm done xping, so it's usually imperial missions), but if not, I'll use some normal shots while my mind recharges, and use strafe2s when enough mind becomes available. And if for some reason things go wrong, and my little pet warps 200 meters away, and I have 3 enemies on top of me, I'm a smuggler, so a quick feign death and I'm safe ![]()
I'm not saying our class doesn't suck or that we aren't most dependent on powerups and stuff. But it is possible to manage without. I'll tell ya though... on occasion when I'm trying to level pistol with a big group with big creatures, I almost wonder what I was thinking mastering rifleman. These guys are spoiled, with basically 0 chance of dying.
