In order to further my scientific endeavors, I need to find critters with Medium armor and some with Heavy armor.

Anybody know offhand the names of some critters with medium or heavy armor, and where I can find them?

Probably better to ask this in the CH forum.. they tend to keep track of the armor rating. Don't think anything (except an AT-ST) got heavy armor though.

the first that come to mind:

medium:

Arachnes, Kliknik queens

Heavy:

Ancient bull rancor, Giant canyon Krayt, Dark jedis

Giant dune kimogilas have medium armor.

SomeMantigrue's on Endor have Heavy armour. I can't remember their specific name though. They take a HELL of a beating to go down

Oh and grassland/horned/vexed voritor trackers/hunters have medium armour. These are on Dantooine.

if your looking for a tank to take the beating while you fire away, your best bet as far as against critters is a grandwrix, it's got like 90% kinetic armor...great tank pet against other creatures.

medium armor babies were removed from game.

No offense, but a Grand Wrix can't hold up for tanking creatures nearly as well as a Graul Mauler. Nothing else even comes close.

I soloed a Mantigrue Screecher last night. That rocked. Sadly, I wasn't within 80m when it died, so I didn't get any XP. But I got 199 units of Endorian Wooly Hide. I almost completed a "Destroy Mantigrue Screecher Lair" mission for 22,768cr just by running all the mantigrues off with Warning Shot. But a Night Stalker spawned while I was shooting what I thought was an empty lair, and it came over and sent me back to the cloning center.

And when I say "Solo," I mean "Solo." No pets of any kind were involved.

THIS is why I love being a rifleman. I can solo critters other classes couldn't even touch without a group or a pet.

Gorax also have heavy armor.
