Thread: Master Riflemen Must Master Marksman
Finally sucked it up and finished off the last 450,000 xp I needed for Master Rifleman. Yay!
However, I still can't shoot once a second with most attacks, using a 7.5 second T21. Master Rifleman grants +90% speed, so I'm doing Strafe2 every 2 seconds. Headshot2 I can do about every 1.2 seconds or so (it reads like 50, 51, 52, 53, 55, 56, 57...)
Looks like to get the real deal I need to also master Marksman. Bleh. It's only 5% more speed, but the difference between 90% and 95% is the difference between 2 seconds and 1 second on a StrafeShot2, apparently.
Just so you know. Break out the pistol and carbine if you ever expect to not suck! Master Rifleman alone will still suck.
And tell the BH's to StheFU about how many skill points they have to burn. Looks like we require almost as many, and they'll still beat us on accuracy.
If I could find any, and if they worked. 
Skill enhancement tags don't work right now and for some reason I haven't looted one in the last month. The first month the game was out I looted like 30, but since then, nothing.
A I M E S The cap is at 1 second, and that is applied after all the other calculations.
I mastered marksman and rifleman, so I have +95, which basically means speed / 20. So a 10 speed weapon goes down to a .5 speed weapon, and then you multiply for a special, and if it is still under 1 second you bump it to one second. I can fire strafe2 at almost once per second.
Of course it looks like they're going to change all that 
So maybe I'll get to drop master marksman, and free up some more skill points.
why not master CH instead of marksman ? that way you get pet DPS on top of your normal rifleman DPS, not to mention a meatshield to counteract that 2.5 penalty...
It does... litte trick i use
I use a nice breath of heaven and a vericeecki steak? and then send my 2 graul maulers to pound the hive down... everythign targets them... and I spam strafe shot 2 ON THE HIVE with my nice krayt dna dlt20a sliced for damage or if the critters have armor my krayt laser sliced for damage.. everythign in the vicinity takes damage(including the hive) and soon its dead and i loot resources and heal pets then on to the next hive.
dont get attached... rifleman are getting eyeshot by the devs....
They are pretty high on thier idea to slow us down to a 3 sec cap and have pistols firing every .5 secs.....
how many headshots 3s does it take to win in pvp? 3 with a good T21 or Laser Rifle? thats 9 secs... And rifleman that takes that long is in for a world of hurt in PvP....
