Thread: Hey AldeonAvardulin how come in this new patch I dont see riflemen in there?
So why are we being skipped over? T-21 apparently sucks, I dunno though I've never seen one on my server. Shots that dont do anything an /cover being useless, less you feel like walking all the time. Commando weapons doing 2.5 times the normal damage, meaning in PvP if a commando there they will easily one shot us. I thought thats why they nerfed the T-21 because we could one shot. But its ok for commando's to one shot us?
Plus other fine items suck as:
- Increased damage of all knockdown moves
- Decreased cost of all knockdown moves
So I die quicker against anyone with a pistol? And they dont have to bother with healing them selves in the process?
I thought I read that they were goign to look into and fix some of our issues on the next big patch, and I thought this was the next big patch?

One caveat on this... Pistoleers lost ranged knockdown recently, so you won't have to worry about being knocked down byPistoleers anymore. Of course, Rifleman neverhad a knockdown in the first place (sigh) :0
As for why there are no rifle fixes in the patch (including removing Commandos doing 2.5x damage to them)... fixing Rifleman is not currently a priority for SOE. As far as I can tell, they don't even understand how the class works (or most classes, for that matter).As long as they are concentrating solely on keeping the BH and Commandos happy, I don't seefixing Riflemenbecoming a priority anytime soon.

Those are old, old patch notes. You can't go by the "In Testing" website, because the patch notes seem to keep just rolling over and over.
Those KD changes were put in place when the KD timer was changed to 30. The original solution to "fix" KD spam was to decrease the damage it did, and increase the HAM costs. What BHs and Pistoleers did with that was switched to CDEF pistols and spammed it all they wanted, then switched to a higher DPS pistol to finish you off. The new 30 second KD timer made these old changes excessive nerfing, so they changed them back.
If you read down the list, there's a whole bunch of "updates" that either went in the game last patch, or were hotfixed inbetween. Example:
- Raised HP cap on lairs from 3k to 10k
- Changed all delay moves to be on a 30 second timer
- Removed bleeding effects from droids and vehicles
- Removed knockdown from disarming shot
...and a few more.

Removed the excess profession of rifleman as it is completely useless and replaced it with a fifth option for pistoleers.
