Rifleman Archive

It look like on the marksman profession, as a rifleman, even if it is not mandatory, the markman line Ranged Weapon Supportis quite necessary for 3 reasons :

- Warning shot, there is no rifleman special that do the same thing ?

- aim skill ? you can't aim if you dont have ranged support ?

- bonus to general ranged aiming, that stacks with rifleman aiming ?

Can you confirm this ? tell me why you kept ranged support skill ? or dropped it ? or to what level and why ?

I am very short of skill points so i need to consider this very carefully

I am interested in the general opinion on this too. Either ranged support or medic is going to have to go for me, dont really want to lose either.

Ranged support only seems to be aim bonuses and a few defensive bonuses that we get in rifleman anyways. Warning shot and supression are admitedly very useful, but I find myself hardly using them now I have a decent pet.

im one box from master rifle and i dumped ranged weapon in marsman the other day. I never used any of the skills anyway and dont notice the missing mods either.

I use aim constantly, it's always the first thing i do with my lead shot. I took this line simply for the bonuses.

I've been thinking about dropping this line too. Yet one thing really has me wondering. Why do rifleman get a +aim when the only way to get the command is to go outside the rifleman line?

i'll be dumping all but one box of ranged support. warning shot is fairly useless to me since i am almost to MCH suppression fire works ok, but i rarely use it. the only thing that i do use is aim and once i make it to master rifleman, i may drop that too in favor of some more medic skills
