According the dev, the rifleman role is the dmg dealer but I don't see the difference with the other ranged profession. A Carabineer or a pistoleer have the same DPS than us (rifleman), and some loot weapon from quest gives better DPS for carabineer than rifleman.

Who can explaim me why the rifleman is a dmg dealer? What does make the rifleman a dmg dealer? Rifles have better potential dmg than other weapon?

I don't want to speack about sniper shot which is a special attack, not so easy to use.

DPS is not the whole story

next time you are hunting with a group, look in the combat tab

it will be something like this:

Joe Pistoleer has hit quenker for 455 damage

Mack Rifelman has hit quenker for 1022 damage

Tom Carbineer has hit quenker for 877 damage

Jerry Teras Kasi has tickeld quenker for 244 damage

etc etc

so far, i ALWAYS do the most damage...

i can get up to 2k dmg with advanced head shot. nobody hits very much harder than i do with my t21....in the groups ive been with.

DPS means jack crap get that out of your head, with a 236DPS tuskan (1kmax mind you) i can deal 3k damage in pve, thast why were a damage dealer!

Especially with all the recon armor wearing, I got 9000 Energy and 1000 Kenetic protection people....
