I've been working towards master rifleman/ranger for a while now. I'm currently 1/1/1/1 and I'm getting tired of having my arse handed to me time and time again.I've noticed that I'm having nowhere near the fun that I had as a BH/pistoleer. I've been told to wait it out till master and that rifleman will be worth it in the endgame.

I guess my question is this; with pvp the way it is, is master rifleman really worth it?

Well depends on what you want it for. If you just do alot of PVE in groups then YES. Riflemen are GREAT for it!

If you plan on PVP'ing at all and aren't sure you'll be in a big group all the time then absolutely not. IMHO we are easily the worst PVP class. In fact now that I am doing more and more PVP I am seriously considering dropping the rifle

for pvp one on one we are GODS among most men

no other class besides commando and bh can do the kind of dmg we can do so fast..

advanced strafe 2 at an average of 700 dmg per 1-2 seconds is killer

mindshotting at an average of 400-500 per second is gauranteed death

were not weak.. were just simply not meant to assault by ourselves

sniper shot cleans up at the big battles where enemy fall down behind their lines

If your going PVP gotta do it on groups and do what I do, wear my homemaker tag, it's pretty funny and confuses people a little.

Oh and PVP is being restored to the way it is, so Master Riflemen should still be the same.

yeah if pvp is restored to 100% dmg then we will become useable again, with all the reductions we were easy targets for bh-cm-commando(just because) and all the other combat classes because our weapons consume our mind (unhealable) bonus dmg from melee not only that but the bh-cm is able to target our mind... just great but still fun

Well, what do you want out of pvp. Honestly, skil for skill we are not very good pvp (meaning if you take out personal skill and just compare what the class can do verses others).
I would say it is BH -> Commando -> Pistol/Carb -> Rifleman -> melee.

It also depends what other skills you throw into you build. A Riflemedic will probably beat a pistol/droid builder and how many of your friends/bots buff you.

Now, your personal style might be suited for rifleman best. It really depends what you want out of combat.

As for pve, a master rifleman is really good. Not on par with a BH or Commando, but, better then the rest.

I think Master Rifleman is one of the best PvP classes, right up there with Commando and BH (what are you other guys talking about?). Especially in one on one combat. So I would say it is worth it if you have PvP in mind.

Rifleman is great in PVP and PVE. Nothing wrong with it at all as long as you know how to use the class.

i am sure it is, i was having heeps of fun on a bestine raid, Mind 1 and Mind 2 everyone then wait for incap and sniper shot, got around 150 - 200 faction in kills aha
