Just made rifleman yesterday. I am a TkA master and i hated battling rifle people and running a long distance, and ending up getting my whole mind wasted before i get to where they are. So, i became a rifleman. I had a lot o xp so i got flurry shot 1. I was also wondering, if i master riflemaan, will i become almost unstoppalbe and pretty invisible in pvp combat? Will i be able to devastate the mind pool? Why do i have to become master rifleman to expiernce good pvp? Please respond

Rifleman isn't just about Mind damage in PVP, because as you will soon experiance it cost mind to do mind damage. There are other specials and combat choices that makes rifleman a good group combatant.

NO Combat Class is Invisible in PVP.

No combat class is unstoppable.

Yes some are harder to hit but every class has a weakness. Is TKM and rifleman a good combo in pvp/pve yes.

Master Rifleman Helps in PVP but its not the be all end all that some folks might THINK.

I would suggest you try PVP at novice rifleman without using TKA skills and see how long you last. The Price of Master which is speed btw aka your mind pool empties faster. Keep that in mind.

rifle users are not the total masters of PVP any more than TKA pistol BH etc. PVP in mmorpg have always been about who has the most resources and the best macro setups. just having a 10k$ set of golf clubs doesnt make you tiger woods. there is a little thing called experience and skill and that is not something that comes by checking boxes and killing durnis watching a meter go up. IF you dont know how to use a rifle to its best then you are going to lose to a novice marksmen that knows tehir weapons and limitations. good PVP players are not created by filling in templates. people like reyza orionz would defeat just about anyone regardless of his or their skillsets...

What my colleagues have said before me holds very true and will be quite visible in the next publish or the one right after, however I'm going to have to break a bit from the mold right now. Sadly, if you do master rifleman quickly you will be close to impregnable in PvP.

This is not to say that rifleman is therefore the end all be all of player versus player combat just that with the game in the condition it is in right now you will be an abrams versus a gattling gun if fighting most other normal PvP'ers (ones I've come across and beat as solely a MRM because they weren't really that skilled at combat) if you get a good tactical and well equiped player fighting you then odds are he will win or at least invoke serious damage but as it stands we are incredibly powerful when combined with TKA. Defense stacking, our melee defense bug, and the bug causing psg's to become vulnerable to stun rather then 30% aligned against it increases our killing ability many times over.

So yes you will be quite the powerhouse but that is going to primarilly be thanks to bugs or something that is deemed exploitation of the game mechanic and is being removed. So basically lvl up as fast as you can if you want to experience the "game breaking power of rifleman" because your power is going to start to wan pretty soon, which is likely for the best, and definitely the best for this board since all the nerfherders will leave.

Who'd have known take the two most over powerd nerf needing classes in the game and combine them to become a Jedi.

Who'd have thought that complaining about profession defense stacking, which (for the umpteenth time) is getting fixed in the next publish, would get you ridiculed on this forum?

rifle doesn't need a nerf, other professions need to be fixed. I am so tired of lazy lazy people trying to take the easy way out by nerfing one working prefession down to the level of a broken unfinished one

Ahh yes its the infamous every other profession except ours is broken argument.

Ever hear occams razor? Riflemen are the broke class, and some things when broken are actually more dangerous like a bottle perhaps.

Mik-Kael,

I'm just curious, can you define in a number what you consider to be "incredibly high" is please?

TKA/Rifle is sadly a great combination (at the moment at least. It'll diminish after publish 7).

Just finished fighting with a TKA/Rifleman (i'm rifle too btw).

Sad sad results. 7 times he won. And not only aganst me. But against a Commando and another tka, all buffed/food enchanced.I'm not gonna cry nerf, or whine or anything.I really don't care anymore. As far as I'm concerned PVP is and probably always will be, a broken thing in this game. Not just spewing words either. It's been in constant limbo since day 1. That's why we still have problems and cries for nerf. When you have insane things like a lunge that can reach over 20ms (as if his arms are that long) 50m's recorded with spike/server lag, odd things like the disease/poison incap/death combo, shooting through terrain, poison through buildings, targeting of red blips no matter where they are, etc. etc. etc......there's always gonna be a temporary profession mix and match. For awhile it was Commandos, then CHs, then and now CM's, TKAs, and now rifles. I remember when rifles weren't even really touched. We were that "crappy good for little" class that wasn't ever sought after really. Now everyone and their Hutt Mother is a rifleman. It'll change too. We'll get our nice little nerf slap, then some other class will have is spot light. Who knows, maybe next will be pikeman/chef?
