Thread: Range Modifiers,Are they working as intended?

I undertsand that the range modifier for rifles is like 30m-65,pistols 0-35 and carbs 10-50. Atm,rilfes are as accurate from 5m as they are from 65m. Is it working as intended?

Yep, kinda screwed up too. Even more, snipershot can be fired at point blank. Had a buddy stand exactly on top of me, and I could fire while prone (couldn't happen pre-CU).

Rifleman are definitely less accurate with a rifle at close range then a pistol is at close range. To test this take only rifleman with rifle skills and a pistoleer with only pistol skills. Fire at a target at 15m or less - The pistoleer will hit much more often. You can mitigate this by using generic skills from other professions. At double master they both will hit nearly the same rate at short range. At 35M the rifleman in the same test will hit more often then the pistoleer. Therefore your supposition is wrong that rifles are as accurate at close range as they are at long range.

prone firing is working as intended. (as far as I know )
