Thread: Unbreakable cover?

I was running through theed the other day, overt, and I didn't see any red dots on radar. A rifleman (under cover) started shooting me. I ran to the origin of the shots and... nothing? Nothing I did was able to uncover him. After taking a significant amount of damage I started running away, and he... followed me? He chased me from the fountain in the middle to the opposite side of the cloning facility.
Anyone else had this happen to them? I couldn't see him or target him the entire time.

Definately not a rifleman unless he is bugged, in that case i wanna be too!
Next time try /target nameofplayer and just run to him and unleash all hell!

Conspiracy Theory -- There is a post on the Jedi forums about a master Defender (Jedi)/Master Rifleman who can cloak and do rifles DPS . . .

i know of enhacer, powers, rifleman jedi on my server..and u cannot break jedi cloaks and they can also force run under them..but cannot attack

does conceal work in PvP? like I shoot a guy and my cover might not break?

if you use conceal shot he will know he has been hit but not where the shot came from unless he saw you shoot. You will be invisible and not on radar.

Rangers have cover break the same way rifleman do (they have to use the rifleman skill). Camoflage does not make them invisible presently
Otoh:
There is a bug that has cropped up a few times where cover will not break no matter what you do (I thought they fixed this). The best solution currently is to log out for 20 mins and then log back in to break it. If youuse the bug to pvpit is treated as an exploit by the csrs (and rightly so)

Yeah it's possible a jedi was playing with you, a few on my server respec'd to mpowers/mbh. Nothing funnier than de-cloaking on top of a paddy and scaring the sh!t outta him. Pretty sick, heh.
