I personally use a laser rifle. The most important thing with them, is to get them sliced and get a decent 30%+ maximum damage weapon powerup in my opinion. I use this rifle for all of my damaging shots. I also keep my old CDEF rifle which i use for warning shots on mobs that are social(the timing seems to be about right and it's good at close range). I would love a T21 but until the AR is fixed i honestly don't think there worth it. As for the willpower increase i find it makes a massive difference. I'm a zabrak rifle man 1000/500/900 and i don't even have to stop between mobs using my laser rifle, although i don't wear armour. Hope that helps you out a bit.

Focus/Willpower maxed out at 600/600, while mind is going up to 1000 atm. I might drop my focus to 550 or 500 because I was only seeing an extra 3 mind use while using headshot2 with 75 focus wounds yesterday. Doesn't seem a very good return rate, 100 focus for less than 5mind use per shot.

I use my laser for bleeds and DLT20a or E11 for hs2ing. Laser rifle just takes too much mind for my liking.

I wish I could get my mind/focus/willpower that high - as a wookie the constitution and strength can go pretty high, but I'm at the limit for focus and willpower. Once my regen rate goes from 400 to 600 that'll be it. I don't mind a little downtime but it's pretty bad right now.

I'm not really familar with foods and spices, but is there stuff I could use to raise my focus or willpower, hopefully that is cheap enough I can use it most battles?

K-12 Rations!!! They are on the artisan tree. amazing stuff, any artisan can make them, they add some 70 to willpower. I eat a few of em while resting or needing faster mind regen. Food is so underestimated, no downtime, high quanity, easy to make... shame theres a shortage of chefs.

Does this 100:5 ratio hold pretty generally for Focus? Can others speak to this? If so, then those 100 points could much better be spent in Mind or Willpower, wouldn't you say? I'm also considering a Wookie Rifleman, so I'm very interested in how these numbers interact. A related key question is how important is that 900 max for Zabrak Willpower, especially when you factor in the extra points Wookies can use to beef up general surviveability and flexibility.

I went zabrak simply because i wanted to have the highest regen possible to reduce downtime. Also i'm a medic which means i can instantly turn a few points in mind into a massive gain in both health and action. I find that i rarely have to stop due to lack of points in mind although i use foods to boost willpower too. Namely Obrak and ice Blaster. Which gives mea willpower over 1000 I'll try to do some experimenting over the weekend if i can find some heavy helmets to see what the different willpower ratings do. E.G. 500/600/700/800/900/1000 simply because i'd be interested to know myself and i'll post my results

Ignore my post, it seems the numbers that float above your head are not thesame amount as that which come off of your mind bar. I'll have to get some food that just does +/- focus so I can findhow mucheffect focus really has.

I would say if you want to be the best rifleman you can,go Zabrak all the way, 900 willpower is very nice and thier balance all HAM bars skill is a life saver. I'm not sure I would go wookie incase they change the way armour works, if they reduce the HAM cost on armour it could become very useful.

Human with 600/600 was fine until I got hs3 and/or tried to use a laser rifle, after using a laser you really notice the increased downtime. This is one of my reasons for putting HAM usage in my top 6 issues in the other post, it's not much fun getting your new [insert attack / rifle] and it being worse than your current one because of HAM costs.

Armour sounds a good way of doing it Droidbui1der, nice idea. I'm also a medic so health / action is never a problem, all my downtime is due to Mind which is why I wish I had gone Zabrak.

I'm playing as a wookie, and I've maxed out my mind stats. Mind is 1100, focus is 650, and willpower is 600. Right now my willpower is 400, it's still migrating to 600. How much of a difference will that make in regen?

Do most rifleman use laser rifles? The stats on mine are 33-445, 5.9s, 14-23-61 HAM cost. Using mindshot 1 and 2, then headshot2, I have a lot of downtime between fights. I should be getting a T21 tomorrow (are they safe to buy now, or are they still broken?), how exactly does it differ from a laser rifle? Is it higher damage with higher HAM costs to go with it? Maybe I should save this for another thread, but what are the rifles I should be using regularly and for what purpose each?
