By far one of the most popular ways to solo with a rifle is "Kilting".
I'll describe this process by the best of my ablility, in as much
detail as possible
First start the battle whille prone, preferbly under cover with
your "Kilt" Mindshot... Now Mind shot 1 and Mindshot 2 Stack, so
fire Mindshot 2(If you have it yet), and then Mindshot 1.
Unless you've masterd the Concealment line in the riflemen
profession it usally takes three shots before the mob notices you
and runs at you and/or starts shooting at you. So your third shot
should be a Warning shot. I say that because
Your 4th shot should be a Threathen shot and I've noticed that
Threathen shot works best after a Warning shot is fired.
Now being pumling it with normal shots(Save your mind, unless
you have 1000+mind) Every 3 shots or so fire another round of
Warning shot/Threathen shot...
Now threathen shot does'nt always work so try to avoid using
this tatic on some of the larger mobs... Just test it out and use it till
you find a mob that it works VERY well on. (A Fierce piket protector
on Dantooine for example)
Edit*: As goes the grapevine on this game goes i've heard that
since the "Big Patch" Bleeds steal xp. My responce to this is make
sure your damage AS MUCH of EVERY stat as possible to insure
you get the greater portion of the XP. Just do this with the upmost
caution.
Hunting With a Pet whille a riflemen
Now if you have a nice tanking pet you may have noticed that...
you do mind damage... they do Health/Action damage...
So find a nice powerful rifle and a spray stick... Equipt the
Powerful rifle and hit it with a MindShot1/Mindshot2. Then use as
meny headshots can you can. Then switch to your spreystick and
just pumle it with reg. shots. This will result in you taking out
almost all the mind whille also taking out a LARGE chunck of their
health/Action. Resulting in you getting alot more xp.
Also a VERY good idea if your pet does'nt seem to like to stick on
the mob to much and moves around. Or even if it does stay on the
mob. do this
Give the "Attack" Command.. wait till you notice the mob get
damaged, then your first shot should be a "Threathen shot", Then
use the above stradgy.
Hunting In groups whille a riflemen
Pritty much the same as hunting with a pet, cept there may be
other riflemen in the group.. try to work it out to see who gets in a
Mindshot 1, and who gets in a Mindshot 2. See if you can work out
a cycle or something like that. Just reamber to open battle with a
Threathen Shot. Less likly that the mob will attack you... More likly
you'll servive a battle the rest of the group doesn't.
Hunting Humanoid Melee, NPCs and PCs whille a riflemen
Ever hesitated before attacking a humanoids npc, afraid that he
might just whip out a huge battle axe and just come charging at
you with amasing speed and come chop your head off before you
could even get in 2 shots? Here's what you do. Gotta be quick with
this, might wanna have a faster rifle in the quick bar just so you
can do this one.
Now if you have the time and this tatic was planed not rushed by
the above senerial start combat with a Flushing shot, just cuz it
helps this tatic work.. ALOT. but it's not nessary.
Now as soon as you see it pull out a melee weapon hit him with
a Flurry shot. Rezulting in him becoming dizzy(Prey that it works first try).
Then pop him with a Suppression Fire shot... He'll fall right over..
takes a long time for him to get up. As soon as he gets back up,
and he's still dizzy hit him with another Suppression Fire shot.
Keep this up till well he's DEAD!!!!
This is as close to a knockdown a riflemen can do. But it'z pritty
deadly and useful.
Counter-sniping, and Effective rifleuse in ranged shootouts
First make shure your at ideel range, and TAKE COVER, trust me it
helps alot. Gives them a big accuracy reduction and it'll be alot
harder to hit you. Now if their hunting with a carbine or a pistole
and don't lay prone but try to get close so you won't be able to
shoot them Do the above Tatic with the melee peoples. But if they
lay prone at a decent distance do this.
Once again pop em with a Flurry shot... (Flushing shot first IF you
have time)
Then hit them with a Startle Shot( It'll have the same effect as
Supression fire whille their dizzy) they'll try to raise position and
fall over.... Pumel them with attacks.. They die you win wooot!
Always if you see them with the undercover sign by their name
hit them with a Strafe Shot.. make shure you Aim... Not only will
you make it easer to hit them, but you'll really piss them off too!!
If i come up with anything else, or can improve on what i've
already written, i'll edit it in.

Have anything else to add? Or need to correct my gramer/spelling(I know i'm horrible). Just try to keep it civil. Everything i wrote above is taken from my ownPERSONAL expriences and testing as I advanced along in the Riflemen line....
